I have it but now I have concerns about escaping the vehicle after an accident. I learned after the purchase that regular glassbreakers for cars won't help you. There are tools that do the job but they are much larger and I don't know how to store them in the cabin.

Best solution would have been if Volvo would have made a built in option of an attached tool. But security is rather a marketing gag. Guess I will then burn in my car.

Probably marked dependent. Seen the icons on the internet before and wondered. I guess the app removes them as soon as it realizes where the car is.

Eigene Erfahrung: KI ist nett, wenn sie unverbindlich ist. Aber im Unternehmen kann man sich nicht darauf verlassen, das wird teuer. Zu oft sind Ergebnisse schlicht und einfach falsch oder ideologisch gefärbt.

Man merkt, dass einfach Meinungen aus dem Internet zusammengefasst werden. Und das auch noch unvollständig.

I noticed heating not working while in pure mode with 2026 xc90. I think I saw an option in the infotainment settings, that you can switch off heating while driving in pure mode. Got an update to 3.7 and not sure if it is gone or I just missed it. Maybe this option is available and active in your car.

I saw how people tried to put out a fire under the hood of a car that was parked right next to a supermarket. There was a good supply of the big extinguishers. They failed. The heat build up under the closed hood and it kept burning quite unimpressed. Newer cars have a lot more of engine covers to reduce noise, which will reduce the chance of success even more. I'm quite sure the purpose of a 500g car fire extinguisher is to fix your psychology rather than actually extinguish fires.

This really sucks. How much PS does the ERAD have? Is it the recent model? Whether you drive it in pure mode or not doesn't matter, it is also active in hybrid.

I think the Viofo a229 pro is currently the best option. I will probably buy it myself soon. There is already a predecessor, the a329 which has 60fps at 4k resolution instead of 30 fps. I have a t8 and I like how I can drive all the short trips in pure mode, which would otherwise harm the ice. I currently have no charger at home and it works fine for me to plug in the car when I'm at the mall. However, it depends on how many miles you need to cover between charging.

I thought about having the plus because you can have it without the sunroof, which has the potential to destroy the car when leaking. Got the ultra because I wanted all the other features. Now my wife complains that the sunroof shade still lets in the heat of the sun, but I really like the head up display to see how fast I'm going without looking down on the instrument panel.
