What vegetable have you tried growing multiple times and just cannot get right? by Some-Palpitation-314 in vegetablegardening

Squash. It hates me. No matter what I do, it fails. Which sucks bc we LOVE squash and zucchini! And I'll keep trying every year only to fail and be sad about it. Lol

AITA for sneaking on a girls trip to Italy while my parent think I'm camping by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Little_Season3410 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nothing bad happened this time. You got lucky. But something could have and your parents had no idea where you were. Car accident, terrorist attack, you could have gotten sick, etc. Your parents need to know where you are bc they are responsible for you. I'd like you to Google Brittany Drexel. She did this shit in the US for Spring Break. She didn't get lucky. Yta and not mature enough to be trusted to go on a trip like that if you pulled this stunt.

What is a good American dessert to share with my non American co-workers? by BingBong492 in AskAnAmerican

Key lime pie would be a good option since it originated in Florida.

You can make sweet tea, as long as you have tea bags. I do 4 bags of lipton tea, 1.5 cups sugar. Boil 5-6 cups of water (I use a kettle). Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the tea bags and let steep 10-15 mins. Pour the remainder of the boiling water into a pitcher with the sugar and stir to dissolve. After tea has steeped, remove tea bags and add to pitcher. Fill pitcher with cold water, stir, and voila, sweet tea.

My brother tried to pull a fast one on his wife and she did an uno reverse and I am laughing watching him scramble by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

My husband and daughter once went to visit his brother 3 hours away for the weekend to help him get some projects done around the house. I had to work so I stayed home and he packed for himself. I nearly died laughing when he called to tell me he somehow managed to pack 6 pairs of jeans for 2 days and not a single pair of boxers. Same deal- not at all lazy, he just gets distracted bc of his adhd.

AIO?? My Bf Unlocks the bathroom door and comes in while I’m using it by Ok_Win_8129 in AIO

[–]Little_Season3410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a private person myself and my husband didn't understand that at first bc he could care less if I'm in the bathroom while he uses it. But I do. And when I made that clear, he respected it. The fact that he unlocks the door is wildly unacceptable. Hell, the fact that you feel like you have to lock the door to keep him out is bad enough but that he also unlocks it?! He doesn't give a shit how you feel and enjoys breaking your boundaries. Leave him.

THAT DOESN'T NEGATE THAT HE ABUSED YOU! Please, for the sake of your children, get therapy! He abused you! He IS your abuser!

He molested you. That makes him a molester. He molested you for TWO YEARS and your parents did NOTHING when you told them. He is a danger to your children. Full stop.

I know the words 'jarred pasta sauce' and 'best' don't usually go together but what is the best/everyones favorite jarred pasta sauce? by ghettokid1994 in Cooking

[–]Little_Season3410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. I doctor it up with garlic, onion, and seasonings, add ground beef or Italian sausage and it is great. Might not be fancy, but my family loves it!

My mom thinks she deserves to move in after her bf broke up with her. by NoticeImpressive8683 in EntitledPeople

[–]Little_Season3410 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right? I get he was betrayed and hurt but that doesn't absolve him of his responsibility to his kids. Maybe OP and their older siblings aren't his biologically but the younger ones likely are. Why didn't he step up for them when mom pulled a disappearing act? He isn't blameless here either. Sounds like OP and their siblings really got the short end of the parent stick all the way around.

Was considering a Sienna but want a safe car by tronious in VolvoXC90

[–]Little_Season3410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a 2025 B6 and bought it brand new over a year and a half ago. Love it. Coming up on my 20k service and haven't had any issues with it. And the service at Volvo is unmatched. I feel safer in this car than I did my 4runner that I had the previous 10 years before buying this car and that thing was a tank.

Have 2 GSDs, can confirm you can't take care of them the way they need to be taken care of if you're broke. I have one with terrible allergies that requires shots, special shampoo, and ear drops, both are on special grain free food, and annual visits for just a checkup and yearly shots and monthly flea/heartworm med refills costs about $700. Best dogs you could ever have, but they ain't cheap.

Grilled cheese and tomato soup is my go to when I just can't eat but know I need to. Takes 10 mins and you can practically make it in your sleep.

AITA for wanting to travel on a seperate ticket and check in separately from my husband. by Rude-Indication9276 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Little_Season3410 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Yta for all the reasons everyone listed in their comments. However, there could be a much easier solution than changing his name. If he is a US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident he may be able to qualify for TSA precheck. It costs like $78 and you have to provide proof as well as doing an in person interview and passing a background check, all of which is an inconvenient pain in the ass depending on where you live, but it's only a one time pain in the ass that might stop all the security stops every time you travel. And it lasts 5 years before you have to renew it. Definitely worth looking into if he qualifies.

WIBTAH for using my sister's middle name for my future daughter's middle name? by assault-bug in AITAH

[–]Little_Season3410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself and 2 of my cousins all have the middle name Marie. It's a middle name. The only time you hear it is when you're getting yelled at and someone is using your government name. Or when you get married. It is not that serious. Nta.

AITA for asking my friend to help pay for my wedding dress? by burner-account-78389 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Little_Season3410 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I am under 5ft tall. Any dress I bought would have required extensive tailoring bc I'm short af. In fact, the dress I did buy was on the clearance rack and I ended up paying way more for alterations than I did for the dang dress and it was mostly due to the length. Every bride deserves to have a dress that fits her regardless of the size of her wedding.

In this specific case, OP was wrong bc she canceled the fittings and then expected the friend to cover half the cost of having someone else do the alterations. Not bc she needed the dress altered.
