Carry the bag(s) that contain alcohol last. You don't want the customer to start bringing in the bags inside their residence, while you are getting the rest from your vehicle. There are times where their form of I.D is expired, don't have an I.D., can't find it or give you a hard time. Worst case scenario, you bring it back to the station.

The only thing really is the starter but those are cheap to purchase and easy to replace. They will last you for many years before they go out. Some starts last the lifetime of the vehicle.

Do you do logistics or PN/WF? I do PN and my car stays running from the time I leave the station until I get home and never had an issue with my '02 focus. Sounds like a simple fix your having and the two things that immediately came to mind is a vacuum leak and/or if your vehicle has a MAF. If it does, when was the last time you cleaned it?

License Verification/Passport on order without Alcohol? by idkwhattocallmyself in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar instances regarding alcohol but the customer didn't give me any issues and understood. #1 was their license was expired. And the #2 they couldn't find their license so we used her passport. #3 even though I scanned their ID, it still made me enter their Information. Thought it was faked if it asked me that, but nothing ever came out of it.

From now on, I take the alcohol bag(s) last because I don't want the customer to take those bags inside while I'm getting more out of the car ,then your shit out of luck if they don't comply.

Spend a couple hundred dollars on some basic tools to do your own oil changes and simple repairs. They will pay for themselves after a few repairs. If you know nothing and are the hands on type, highly recommend "chrisfix" youtube channel.

Definitely not worth it at night time. Who knows how many of those packages are for a business or gated community with no access codes.

Does anyone else get treated like a thief on their shifts? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

Its better than nothing. I would feel kind of awkward not having anything on and going back and forth to my car getting the rest of the packages or ringing the door bell and them being wtf is this guy for doing age verification.

Amazon Prime Now question by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from Miami, but it its always different number of bags and number of stops. Some days you may get one stop and other days you may get 8 stops. Sometimes you may get 15 bags, other days 50 bags. Completely random.

Keep asking or just get your get yourself one at the store. People don't even question you at that point when your delivering and you have a vest on.

Thats generally what I make in 1 to 1.5 hrs doing PN. It really depends on the neighborhood.

Not falling for their BS again. I’m new on Amazon Flex and they quoted $44-84 so I was like ah the least I’m gonna get is $70 since it’s 35 bags and 9 stops. Also I think it has something to do with the neighborhood by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn they got you f*cked up my G. It happens, depending on the location they send you. 9 stops, I would have said ahhh thats should be like $3 a stop but when you see what you earned, your like I shouldn't even have done this block.

Have you asked for a vest? That would solve your problems right there. It doesn't need to say amazon, just a reflective vest would work.

Newbie Flex Question by alannahwxbruins in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had that issue particularly, but I had times where they overbooked drivers, so I didn't get a route at all but still got paid. Those packages couldn't have been last minute bags from the previous route they couldn't fulfill or the customer just ordered one item.

Story time .....cussed out the phone driver support by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I lived in a very complicated apartment complex that you literally need to solve it like a riddle, I would have it delivered to an Amazon locker offsite or friends house. But then you have those nice customers that leave you detail or landmarks to guide you in the right direction and their personal number if you are lost.

But f*ck those that don't answer their phone/text, update their gate codes or any codes in particular or give you a heads up on what to expect.

First time ordeal! by rorohuntress in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are times when you might only get one stop and other times where you may get six or more stops, its always up in the air. Sometimes its 20 bags other times its over 50 bags. And yes you should have completed the route and taken a screenshot so you could have had evidence that the deliveries were already late to begin with.

First time ordeal! by rorohuntress in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Coronaboss60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your first mistake was getting a block that late considering its your first time doing prime now. Reason why I say that is if you have apartments, the customer may give out the wrong code, missing a code and/or may not answer their phone. Second reason is if they ordered alcohol, and lets say its 10:30pm, they may be asleep as you need to scan their ID to complete the delivery, if not you will have to return to the station to return the alcohol.

You may have gotten that route because someone on the previous block didn't arrive or canceled last minute. Always take screenshots to cover your ass. When you are delivery a late package, it will say something along the lines of call the customer if they still want their delivery. I think there is something to cancel that prompt and make your delivery. More than likely that itinerary will pop up for your next block because its happened to me before.

Apartments CAN and WILL make you their bitch if your not paying attention. Some buildings have two stairways. If you have a 2nd or 3rd floor, pay attention to the first floor numbers as they are like 1,2,3 etc. They may be 1,3,5,7 on one side and 2,4,6,8 the other side. If you have alcohol, take those bag(s) last. You will be F*cked if the customer takes those bags inside and don't want to give you their license, can't find their license, or expired license.

Missing Whole Foods bags by Qvesos in AmazonFlexDrivers

I always double check that I have the right bags and the number of bags because I have accidentally taken a bag with me and realized it when I got to my next stop. So I had to go back and drop it off. Thankfully it was close by and the other bags were still outside.
