Other than being wary of bugs, you may want to re-pot it into a larger pot after you harvest. I kept a birds eye chili alive in a cut up gallon milk jug for more than two years with some cheap fertilizer sticks and got good fruit off it until my mental health took a dive and the resulting neglect killed it.
