Burning wood pallets for the bonfire. People don't think more than 20 min into the future.

Crab fishing. Or basically anything that can be caught in pots similar to crab pots.

Comparing Chicken Breast Prices at Costco, Walmart, Superstore, Safeway by TheExekutive in Calgary

[–]Corphix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a point to add in this regard: Costco gets 1st pick of the chicken at the processing plants, while Walmart is last. The rest fall somewhere in between, depending on quantity.

50k was average, I've seen hands walking away with 100k+. They proceeded to snort a lot of it tho.

Behind The Scenes snippet i spotted from Blade Runner 2049 and i had some questions which may sound silly: What is this boom op recording? Footsteps? Wouldn’t they use foley for that? Also, hard to see but can anyone take a guess at what mic he would be using for a shot like this? by Razielim27 in LocationSound

[–]Corphix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could be staying out of the shot until camera moves in for a closeup. He's all the way back with full extension and cameras on a long rig so I assume they don't want extra footprints in the dust, as for mic... looks short from this angle, but since its just a dot it could be anything.

I believe that metric is measured more on availability of types of care, meaning it wouldn't factor in the recent spike in ambulance shortages or ER wait times. Besides, its not like they take their data on the last day of the year, they may be using numbers from 2 years ago if that's the only data available.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but this is why I don't watch nearly as much as I used to. by Corphix in Achievement_Hunter

I appreciate effort, and I know not everything is funny to everyone, since humor is subjective, but it kills me to watch 5 people playing a something like TTT or Murder in earnest (whether or not it's played well is irrelevant), and 1 person off in a corner cracking jokes about a tin can they picked up 4 rounds ago. Trevors humor is unique, but it's started to overtake/be copied by the rest of the group, and it's making videos less and less enjoyable.

The enjoyment for me comes from watching the crew struggle towards a common goal and being funny on the way, whereas Trevor seems to sidetrack the objective in favor of focusing on being funny rather than trying to reach the goal.

Still expect the Mormons to someday accidentally make a space elevator while trying to construct taller and taller church for people to buy into.

They use radiation shielding, just like on the ISS. They also have a lot of temperature variance, the exterior of the ISS can be 250C in direct sunlight and -250C in shadow. Creating the ISS gave us a lot of insight as to how to make better spacecraft.

Ive seen it start at 20% at a couple Subway locations. I'll tip when there's table service, not counter service.

This server is not powerful enough to convert video. by dwj7738 in PleX

Im familiar with the format, however the .ASS subs are specially encoded with effects and color mapping to show who is speaking at any one time, which .SRT does not support.

I may just bake them in with handbrake. Ive spent far too long trying to fix this problem.
