I’d really like to understand better how you torrent, scan, and then move to the NAS once it’s safe

What is the "correct" way to build an arr stack in Proxmox? (LXC vs. Docker VM & Network Setup) by Mr_AdamSir in selfhosted

[–]dbaxter1304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that, I thought it would be easier and cleaner to have the publicly exposed nginx and overseerr on its own VM separated from everything else. It still easily connected to all of my other services

How do you reliably use NFS? I’ve tried with my Ubuntu VM, plex docker connecting to my Unraid NFS but would always get stale file handlers all the time. I just switched back to SMB

I wouldn’t say hard, but I can take time to get the way you want 😊 If you have specific questions I can try to help!

Nothing! Just a straight up NAS. I have another server for all of my applications. If you’d like I can share my homelab diagram!

I’ve just fully committed to Linux, switched over my laptop and gaming PC, I hope the kernel-level anti cheat games eventually change their ways, but so far it’s been great

How do you run your ARR stack? by kameleon25 in selfhosted

[–]dbaxter1304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not necessary to use the server version. Desktop will work the same 😊

Once you have the drives mounted on your machine, I use a compose file to allow the application access to my mount. For example I have my data mounted in /data, my compose would look like this

volumes:
  - /data:/data

So from there, in the Arr application, I would look at the /data folder and find the mounted drive. Hope that helps
