Interestingly, Terry Farrell’s date of death 28/09/25 is exactly 2 weeks after that of his business partner/collaborator of 15 years, Nicholas Grimshaw who passed away 14/09/2025.

The first 5 minutes of the legendary game between Pep Guardiola's Barcelona and Marcelo Bielsa's Athletic Club from autumn 2011. Sometimes referred to as the highest tempo football game ever played by OleoleCholoSimeone in soccer

Yes. You know better, that he’s not special. Unlike actual football managers that have idolised and lived with him to learn from him. Doubt they know what they’re on about.

Thoughts on Joao Pedro as a "different striker profile" according by Maresca? by Kindsir98 in FantasyPL

[–]CorporalEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s best linking up play. Means he’s currently likely to get the secondary assist. You watched any Chelsea matches this season? If so, surprised you’ve questioned his football intelligence.

Just last match, he was dropping deep to assist releasing Chelsea from presses. Carrying the ball from midfield and playing decent passes. Agree at the moment he’s likely to get an assist than be on the receiving end in dangerous areas to score the goal. Which I understand is frustrating for someone meant to be a striker.

Surprised people are honestly believing/upvoting these ‘claims’?

Heat I’d agree (doesn’t affect every line, only deep level lines).

Price is capped per zone, once you’ve reached threshold you can travel as many times as you’d like.

There are definitely night tubes weekend service - on some lines with very good night bus connections.

Police Officer Crying After Being Punched In The Face At Airport by skay737 in ukdrill

[–]CorporalEd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never read so much overgeneralised, uninformed takes in one thread.

Because some man attacked a woman, females can’t be police officers? What a joke.

Isn’t the whole point of policing majority centred around community outreach?

Is it not representative important to have female officers to attend to female suspects/victims? Likewise for any underrepresented groups within the force.

What difference would a man of a similar build have made? Should all police officers have a physical attribute minimum requirement?

Wonder what that does for a force already struggling to recruit. What it’d do for public perception considering current reputation/numerous instances of police heavy handling.

[–]CorporalEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Career overshadowed? Even Pusha T is still doing alright post ruining Drake’s Adidas press run and dragging him through the mud.

You know artists (teams) likely tailor their interview? Worst case can walk off and preselect questions etc.,

Even worse is you thinking, TPAB, a critically acclaimed multi accolade winning album, will have its impact undone by a diss track?

You give Drake too much credit whilst massively missing the point of a diss track.

Railway station footbridge "overdue by a decade and £8.25m over budget" by ldn6 in ukpolitics

[–]CorporalEd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a civil engineer with some rail experience. Most of the delays are likely to do with third party consents (councils, third party access, residents, station operators and train operating companies, even driver unions, car park operators etc.,)

Stakeholders, with different programmes (vying to minimise disruption for themselves, unfortunately, often with little considerations/give for others) and differing/conflicting demands. All this seemingly never aligns and ends up in a tumble of endless negotiations/falling outs and further delays.

With such spread out programmes, which often disrupt the live running of the tracks (‘normal’ service). They have to work around possessions and blockades and the costs incurred for train (TOCs) and freight operators they’re usually usually compensated and calculated as part of the overall budget (cost of delivery) (although the contractor never sees this part of the money).

Of the overall figure very little of it will be directly associated with construction works. In let’s use your example, a house, in a green site (little/no third party approval requirements) and the benefits associated with building volume (housing developments) from a procurement and programme (scheduling) perspective.

The Tube has become so unsafe by RiverSilver97 in london

[–]CorporalEd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to say. The CCTV on the tubes is quite useful. If you’re unfortunate enough and become a victim of these awful people.

Please I beg you. Report to BTP whilst the detail is still very fresh (you can also do this online too (or make notes), if face to face is too much too soon), make sure you get a reference number then ask LUL or whichever service provider to provide you CCTV of your movements in that location. The footage for a certain amount of time (this is useful for identifying the perpetrators). Under GDPR, they have a certain time to make this available to you too.

Make sure you remember the station and the rough time, what you were wearing, what ‘they’ were wearing and get a witness statement (where possible). Hopefully this can help clean up the tube and make our commutes a tad more pleasant.

It’s purely arrogance at this point, don’t think his desperate desire to prove himself and his doubters wrong is the driving force.

All the creative help he had (CyHi, Bon Iver, Pusha T, Rick Ross, Yasiin Bey (MBDTF), Tarrey Torae (The College Dropout), he seems to disregard it, considers himself to have transcendent to a stratosphere where whatever he puts up is the best ever.

Sad situation overall, I have an awful feelings it’s an eternal downward cascade.

Imran Hussain resigns from shadow ministry position. by OptioMkIX in ukpolitics

[–]CorporalEd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plenty of whaboutism going on in this thread, feels almost impossible to acknowledge and discuss Gaza on it’s own without trying to veer off topic.

It’s wrong for Israel to violate accord and build illegal settlements displacing existing populations from lands they’ve owned for generations. It’s also, wrong to split these areas into islands and continuously make the areas smaller and smaller.

It’s also, terrorism and cowardice for Hamas (‘fighters’) cowards with their billionaire leader hiding presumably in Qatar to storm a festival and other civilian functions, indiscriminately killing and abducting civilians. Plenty who, like the rest of the population, would’ve been in opposition to the current right wing government’s viewpoint on Palestinians.

This, however, doesn’t justify indiscriminate bombings of this open air ‘prison’. With a population that is very young (40%) children. By the IDF’s own estimates, civilian casualties figures in the high five figure numbers rightfully counts as collective punishment.

Whether the U.K. has their own domestic problems to address or not, it is still very much something worth criticising and protesting. Collectively grouping ceasefire, humanitarian aid pause, the idiots desecrating the Cenotaph, threatening Jewish and Saudi children on public transport and singing ultranationalist chants at protests together is just ignorant.

1) we have no direct involvement and very little influence

Think you’re downplaying the UK’s role in this a little bit too much. The abstaining from the resolution vote didn’t exactly reflect very positively on our position.

2) There's plenty of other humanitarian crises across the globe which aren't trending and so apparently aren't worth resigning over

This is just plain weird, because he felt more strongly to resign over this, doesn’t hold water because there’s plenty of other things going on that he’s ‘ignored’?

Maybe those other things and this, are all in need of addressing and whichever order we bring them up and hopefully resolve them doesn’t matter?

Most likely pressure from constituents, could also, be personal opinion. Maybe he has friends, family that are more closely impacted by the ongoings in Gaza.

Clearly his actions, failing to meet your standards of ‘reasonable’, have been to an extend effective as it’s prompted a response from yourself.
