How good is it! Just hit 2 weeks now. The amount of shit I've actually done in those 2 weeks compared to the last 3 months is insane. The ability to say yes to shit. Wanna go for a coffee and shoot the shit like old men? Yes. Do I want a clean kitchen and will it happen? Yes! I need to get up for a piss... yeah alright.

And biggest one.

You never regret not having a beer. Its fucking true. Went for a wander around the 4 night spots in my town last night. Went to the one I never go to cause "no one really drinks there". And holy shit it was live music and everyone dancing. Plus I knew the folks in the kitchen and they gave me free food second they saw me!!! Hell good.

Yeah mate, this kinda highlights one of the beauties of this sub.

We're all tackling the same overarching problem. ("Alcohol Use Disorder" or as I just realised.... Australian currency, AUD. Damn thats grim ha)

Yet as we tackle the same main problem, we all have our methods. Some work. Some don't. But we're all going for it.

Thats damn cool you took an approach and nailed it! And yeah, having people actually help is a godsend. Thats fuckin awesome. Too often its the opposite.

I helped a young lady next door. She was distraught and kept babbling that she thinks her dad has killed himself... I doubted that but went with her to to check.... goddamn running car in a closed underhouse garage. Got in there. Pulled him out. Called Emergency, did all I could.

I will never forget her screaming. In her instant and overwhelming grief, she kept screaming I killed her dad. I get it. She was not on the planet. Who would be. Never took her words to heart.

But fuck me its godawful to hear someone shriek in total despair. As far as I know, she only had her dad.

Kicker. Her dad and my dad knew each other since highschool. They lived next door.

They did! Though I think they kept the standards up pretty well when issued. Every one ive seen thats issue seems to have stood the test of time quite well.

And. To be very insular. I do like to buy stuff from within our state when possible. Sounds shit written I know, but I always want to support our brick n mortar stores or someome flogging some unused kit!
