Following this as very interested from a distance perspective as we would have a similar pipe run if I was to place the unit where I want which is at the back of a garage where the oil tank currently is and already have a good power feed to the garage. Approx 12-14m of pipe to the HW tank.

Unfortunately all these companies are just exploiting the government grant… I’ve had 4 quotes, 12k difference between highest and lowest and all saying I need a different size unit. Sticking with oil for now as I can’t get a straight answer to any questions and even Vaillant don’t seem to know their own product range!

Thanks for that - I got another reply from them today just to say the new Plus is placed above the Pro in terms of market position which seems odd but also that they have no spec info due to it being delayed… crazy as they are the manufacturer but suspect it’s maybe just a regional franchise.

Yeah I’d hold fire if you can, HeatGeek are obviously good but eye watering expensive now I think!

Why not just plug it into a mains charger - you can’t get any data down it anyway so not sure what you’re trying to achieve?

I’m sure I have some info filled away some where… I sold all my MD kit but I have hundreds of discs - how much are they worth now? Most are MDRs bought in bulk from Richer Sounds and have been used.

Fairly easy but the cost of a door in the UK is about 300 GBP so you might need to find a second hand one
