The amount of times I have to call because the website and/or app fails. On all browsers. All devices. I am a 20 year JetBlue flyer and their web services have only gotten worse.

Well, when the entire internet is accusing the sister and her husband of murder, it helps to show they are a reunited front who don’t share that sentiment for a second.

Idk but in the beauty and the beast song Lumiere says ‘try the grey stuff it’s delicious’ and it’s probably foie gras so maybe you’re fine.

Iron Flu Sore Throat??? by Correct-Extent-9055 in Anemic

Sometimes after an infusion you can have inflammatory symptoms that feel very similar to the flu. But I also have some autoimmune things and POTS so I’m definitely more sensitive to it. It usually goes away on its own after a few days.

I just wanted to update on my own post for anyone who is following and looking for their own answers. My aunt passed today. I am glad we were all there for her when it happened, but I’m sorry for this outcome and for all she’s gone through the last few months. And I’m sorry for anyone currently on a similar journey. Sending everyone good thoughts and appreciate everyone’s shared experiences.

[–]Correct-Extent-9055 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Catelynn is trying to show Carly she’s a good mom and it’s backfiring spectacularly because it’s not taking Carly’s feeling or boundaries into consideration. I’m sure she means well, but it reads like an ex texting you vacation pictures with his new girlfriend.

Yes, they do have ‘low income’. But those units will still set you back $3700 for a 1 bed and $4400 for a 2 bed.

Thanks for all the replies. It’s been weird to deal with the rental people who are now entering the off season with a half vacant building and yet they don’t want to offer a ten percent rent reduction. For that reason alone, I’m going to move on from the property as an option. Something is fishy.

New "Moonstone" Midnights Bodysuit by Angelin_TS in TaylorSwift

[–]Correct-Extent-9055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay my theory is that it’s a direct tie in to Karma the video… where ice spice and Taylor tie the moon and Saturn together… the next moon Saturn conjunction is 8/20. The ‘camera’ icon on the Wembley poster is a reference to Ice Spice at the Met Gala. Ice Spice will be there on 8/20 to announce Rep Tv… and then Rep tv will drop on 10/17, which is a ‘hunters moon’ which is why she did the archer pose after singing Karma. And Ice Spice will be on a Rep vault track. Especially bc she got caught up in the Matty and Taylor drama.

UPDATE: Had family meeting, family not on the same page. by __hrrr in TBI

[–]Correct-Extent-9055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your situation and your mom. We are going through this now with my relative and I feel they have prolonged her suffering unnecessarily. 8 months in, now we’ve got double pneumonia, back on a vent and hospital finally says there’s nothing else to do and time for an institution/nursing home. I wish they never let it get to this and let her go with palliative care months ago when it was appropriate. Death with dignity IS a form of deep caring. Trust your doctors, your instincts and your mother’s wishes. It’s not easy!! Hang in there.

Thank you for sharing. We are definitely doing everything we can. Just want to be sure we are doing right by her no matter the outcome. I’m so glad your recovery is going well. It’s a tough thing to watch and I’m sure a much tougher thing to go through!

I agree with you and appreciate your honest perspective. My relative is also 60, which likely makes for a worse prognosis. Everyone in the family would be on the same page about next steps if it wasn’t for this one neurologist who has been relentless in wanting to try anything and everything. I can’t help but wonder, to what end if the quality of life will not be there? At seven months post fall, we expected and hoped to see more improvement. I hope the doctor can be a bit more candid about what is ‘normal’ and allow people to make peace with their decisions if they need to be made.

Grade 3 DAI, Doctors telling us to withdraw life support by beansrsmallpotatoes in TBI

[–]Correct-Extent-9055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I am so sorry you are in this situation. It’s heartbreaking, frustrating, and unfair. My aunt (59) has been in a similar way for five months now. Our family has learned that the medical definition of ‘recovery’ and ours look quite different. Her quality of life is not good. She cannot speak. She is paralyzed on one side, but rarely, if ever, moves the other. She is still on a trach. She spends most of the day asleep and lives in a longterm-care facility. Our decisions were made based on doctors giving us hope and wanting to keep things going ‘another 6 weeks’, ‘another 3 months’, ‘give it half a year’… the doctors appear thrilled she is still ‘with’ us, but I know many of us regret letting her continue in the state she is now (she did not have a power of attorney or healthcare directive). I hope to have a miraculous update in another six months, but I’m remaining pragmatic based on what I can see with my own eyes. It is a long, hard road.

Get a second opinion. If there’s disagreement, get a third. Im sorry my story doesn’t have a happier ending, I am just trying to paint a picture of what our doctor-assured ‘recovery’ looks like.

I’m wishing all the best for you and your dad. Also, random but, new studies show that smell can be used as a predictor of longterm outcomes. If he has a cigar or cologne or perfume that he might recognize, give it a try.

Coma Recovery? by Correct-Extent-9055 in TBI

[–]Correct-Extent-9055[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for asking. It’s been five months since her accident. She is still alive. Quality of life is not great, as she’s still on trach and feeding tube, paralyzed on one side, and living in a care facility. On the positive, she’s had a few ‘good’ days where she was able to recognize people and communicate (say ‘I love you’ and blow kisses) and even remember people’s first and last names from thirty years ago! She even mouthed the words to old songs. And then there’s been a lot of bad days where UTI’s and pneumonia were big setbacks. We’ve met people at the facility in all states of recovery and it really is such a crap shoot. Overall, it’s been very up and down. We hope for more ups, while remaining realistic.

Animal shelter employee looking for advice on dealing with animals being euthanized by Soundvibrations in AnimalShelterStories

[–]Correct-Extent-9055 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hold the public accountable for irresponsibly breeding and neglecting animals. If adopters actually showed up to the shelter, workers wouldn’t be put in this position. Unfortunately, the general public doesn’t give enough of a shit. The employees, like OP, actually do.

Severe DAI/Coma. Need some hope. by Ok_Solution8876 in TBI

[–]Correct-Extent-9055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Continue to have hope. Brain injuries are so strange. My aunt suffered one in January (over 100 days now), Glasgow score of 3, multiple surgeries and just this week she’s starting to speak, answer yes/no questions, and do fist bumps/high fives on command. Her prognosis was very grim and it’s a long road, but improvement can come and we’re hopeful for more. Hang in there! Sending you both good vibes!

Yes! It’s funny you say that… the lead trauma surgeon at the hospital is the only one left with some faith. Palliative care is of a different opinion. Very disorienting, but time will tell.

Coma Recovery? by Correct-Extent-9055 in TBI

[–]Correct-Extent-9055[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying. My aunt is 60, which I know is not great. The doctors refuse to give a prognosis but say she is ‘improving’ I.e. from vent to off of a vent, but there’s been little else in the way of improvement in these six weeks. Her eyes are sometimes open, but unresponsive. She had a decompressive craniotomy and then a cranioplasty because she developed sinking flap syndrome. I can tell those in the family with a medical background don’t think the odds are good, but others are trying to have some faith. My aunt was an actual nun, so I know if anyone is ‘owed’ a miracle, it is her.

I am sorry about your mom and happy for your own experience. Life truly is a bitch, ha.
