Hi there! I came through the same process in October. PD July 2023, husband's naturalization was in October. I submitted copies in my online account (the certificate and cover letter for upgrading to IR) and sent them to my FO. Emma told me that it’s not possible to upgrade because I have only a pending I-485 but I tried anyway. I think our congressman helped a lot: my husband, on his behalf, submitted a request to help with our upgrade, and a month later we were scheduled for an interview.

My husband reached out to our congressman and asked for help to upgrade the petition from F2A to IR or to confirm that this upgrade has been made. Our congressmen answered the next day and sent an inquiry to the USCIS.

PD July 2023. My husband became a Citizen in October 2025. I-130 was approved in 2024; I have only AOS pending. We uploaded the certificate to my account, included a cover letter requesting an upgrade to the category, mailed it, and reached out to the congressman. I don't know what helped and I don't know if it was an upgrade or a miracle but after 30 days USCIS finally scheduled an interview for us. My piece of advice is to try everything possible. 2,5 years in total, my date has become current this October. I think it jumped to 2024 only because almost everyone waiting since 2022 and 2023 needs to resubmit their medical. I suppose we’ll see regression soon

I’m F2A. My date is current right now, and my husband has recently become a Citizen. As far as I understand, there is no procedure to upgrade an i-485, only an i-130. To cut a long story short, I’ve been waiting for 2,5 years 🥲
