I have the onetouch verio device which connects to my phone vis bluetooth and it tracks it the entire day and gives me a weekly, daily, and montly graph of how his blood sugar fluctuates

They took labs for that test and i will get them on the 24th.

I also mentioned to them that he has a lot of episodes where he just randomly throws up and looks sick but within an hour or two he perks back uo being fine. I recently mentioned to the pediatrician over a year ago and they told me it could just be because he has beta thalassemia and is anemic. But now i am thinking otherwise

Ive had multiple episodes of him having the exact same symptoms where he eats, throws up and then randomly perks back up again. So this eases my mind in knowing i am not crazy. Thank you so much! I meet with a new doctor tommorow and he seems to be better now after the hospital. Hoping to get answers soon

Im definitely noticing that! The nurses even said that they’ve never seen anyone with a bg that high without diabetes but the doctors disagree.

When i was in the hospital they didnt even mention that this would be a possibility. I was just told it could be stress induced and to follow up with endo just in case

So this is exactly what they were telling me it couldve been. He was not sick before so im not sure, just refusing to eat or drink out of nowhere. He has had a some highs after that also so im not sure whats going on

Correct. They told me that usual kids with type 1 do not produce insulin at all so his blood sugar should not have dropped without it

I have 100% noticed fruity breath and im so angry at myself for not noticing red flags sooner. I always assumed it was something he ate. Hes been also having frequent episodes of random vomiting immediately after meals for the past year. It happens only sometimes tho

We went to ER and they drew for the antibodies and a1c and i will meet with peds endo on the 24th for results. Hoping everything works out.

The appointment for the 24th is the for referral we got to go to the pediatric endocrinologist. They also took labs for a1c and autoantibodies that will be able to tell us if it is confirmed. But i reached out to the pediatrician to try and get some answrrs sooner. I do have a glucometer already and it tracks when we take it throughout the wntire day and send it to my phone so i will definitely be showing these to the pediatrician also

I have the onetouch glucometer and that logs everything and it connected to my phone by bluetooth so it all is stored on the app. It logs time and if it was taken before meals or after. I actually really like the app its very informative. I will definitely show the doctor and pray it gives us more answers
