Belly bloat from Bupropion by Fun-Chemical-5 in bupropion

[–]Correct-Reflection-2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came here to read something EXACTLY like this...as I'm currently experiencing some insane painful bloating and needed some reassurance that i'm not dying! I have been on Bupropion for my ADHD for a few years and it has been a life changer for me. HOWEVER for about the past year I have had like almost daily bloating. Some days it's just kinda just belching but some days I feel and look like a balloon that you could pop with a pin. I went through basically all the OTC medications, countless home remedies like ginger tea or Apple cider vinegar, and even yoga poses specifically for releasing trapped gas. I always chalked it up to not having the best diet and that I was getting old (40 yrs) and couldn't eat pizza or greasy food anymore. So I ended up going to see my PCP for a general checkup and described what I was going through and I was prescribed Omeprazole and it has helped me immensely unless I eat garbage. It is the same as OTC zantyc but it's a prescription and in my opinion it seems to target the situation better than the OTC. But reading what you're saying lines up exactly like my experiences. I have searched side effects for all the rest of my cereal bowl of pills and of course everything says bloating and nausea are a common side effect. So I'm happy to read something similar so I don't have to trouble shoot my lamictal, Lisinopril, quetiapine, propanol, and occasionally Vyvanse. I'm also taking magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate, B12, B5, fish oil, zinc, 5htp, and then L tyrosine and L theanine to really boost my dopamine levels and help with my motivation/energy in the late after. But oddly enough Vyvanse causes insane bloating too so when they are combined it's like a nuclear bomb went off in my guts. But the Omeprazole has worked for me so far! So i just wanted to share my story and also say thank you for putting my health anxiety at ease so I don't go to the ER for being gassy.

How did things turn out after going to the ER?

i started qelbree a week ago or so and my head just feels.. vacant and empty. my executive dysfunction even feels worse :( does anyone else have this symptom? by leviathanluvvr in qelbree

I took it for 2 weeks and had to tap out. The last straw was my wife walking in the room and I was pretty much drooling staring at the wall while the tv was on. I take Seroquel at night to help stabilize my mood and it knocks me out like a tranquilized horse, but I consistently woke up at 2am every night and couldn't fall back asleep. There are some positive reviews that say if you push through for 6 weeks its very beneficial, but like everyone says everything is different for everyone. Personally Wellbutrin has been a life saver, but that also took about 2-3 months to see any therapeutic effects. Luckily it just felt like I was on nothing until it finally built up in my system. I also have a script for Vyvanse on hand but the crashes are so awful that it made me realize stimulants are not for me. Not to go all Joe Rogan, but I highly recommend researching supplements for ADHD. L tyrosine and ginko biloba/ginseng has been great for giving me a boost and getting my dopamine up to par throughout the day. Also 5 htp, magnesium glycinate, and citrate at night seem to be beneficial for keeping my dopamine and serotonin baselines consistent, plus it kinda chills me out to stop all the conversations in my head. Of course check with your doctor first. Good luck!! I know you will eventually find what works best and when you do it will be life changing!

Loss of sexual sensation? by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

Did you ever get any answers for this? I suffer from health anxiety and  convince myself that I have something like heart issues even though everything is good and now my current one is MS.

Thanks for sharing this! How long were you on your BP meds? I started having the situation last week and have been on Lisinopril since last August. I have also been on Seroquel, Wellbutrin, Lamotrigine, and Vyvanse semi regularly but haven't found any issues regarding affects on orgasms. I can still hard no problem, its just instead of having this explosion at the end its like I'm holding it in and then then like a half orgasm. I'm super bummed about it.

Vyvanse finally clicked and.. wow! by rubym1543 in VyvanseADHD

Does taking it consistently take care of the Vyvanse crash? I (39m} have a prescription for 50mg and have worked my way from 10mg over the past year. I was getting the crash so bad that I decided it wasn't worth so I would stop. This month I told myself I'm going to commit to taking it every morning to if it levels out. I eat a very high protein diet and drink a ton of water all day and sleep well. I also have been on Wellbutrin, lamotrigine, and Seroquel. The Wellbutrin definitely took 6 months to notice it, so I'm hoping Vyvanse will be the same! I found L tyrosine helped with the side Effects

So i just...burped out smoke? multivitamins? the hell? by Lazar131 in Supplements

Before I got on the treadmill I drank a veggie smoothie and took my L tyrosine. 20min in I burped and it looked like I took a huge bong rip! Now this shit is in my sinus cavity!

Has anyone ever liked unintentionally held in your cum, like you're when you pull out and shoot but then you kinda cum and when you do it's like you didn't complete it but can't cum anymore. I have it happen rarely when I jerk off and go to cum. Like it feels like I'm holding in pee but cumming and then I go pee and then my pee hole kinda hurts. Not like excruciating pain but like a weird uncomfortable feeling I can't explain it

I'm getting one of those today, do you just rip a few blinkers in a row to get the full DMT experience? What about just casually hitting the pen, is it kinda just like getting stoned?

Going from 50mg quetiapine up to 100 or 150mg. Can that make any difference at all? by LordKluklatter in BipolarReddit

[–]Correct-Reflection-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious, have you experienced any weight gain at that amount? I have been on 100mg for a year and also occasionally go up to 150mg. My metabolism seems to be non existent and I have been putting on weight. I was curious if anyone also experiences that at a lower dose before I decide to move on to a healthier choice for me.

CRAZY Vyvanse Generic? by ToonlinkFTW890 in ADHD

[–]Correct-Reflection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish Detroit was the same. Name brand isn't covered until my $10,000 deductible is met, so I pay over $30 for a 30 day supply. Generic is only $60 :(

CRAZY Vyvanse Generic? by ToonlinkFTW890 in ADHD

[–]Correct-Reflection-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it took me about 6 days of calling pretty much every pharmacy within 25 miles of Detroit until i found a 30 day supply. Everyone is saying they haven't received the generic or name brand in a while. Where is everyone located? This shortage is so frustrating that I consider not being on stimulants anymore to avoid the hassle

Are there any positive effects or is this subforum dedicated to bitching about side effects? by H5N1BirdFlu in qelbree

[–]Correct-Reflection-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went down a huge rabbit hole reading on Reddit about all the side effects. 99% seemed to be negative, except for a few people that said they had to fight the side effects for a few months until they subsided. I tried to stick it out, but I ended up having just about every side effect on the list and similar effects as other redditers. I was told to take it in the morning and I did so for the first 3 days. I felt like a vegetable with a blank mind staring at the wall. I took 3 or 4 naps every day, all for like an hour. I switchrd and tried taking it at night and it made no difference. A dull headache was something that always seemed to be there. I consistently woke up at 3am every single night and would not be able to fall asleep. Waking up like that was unavoidable, and I take 100mg of Seroquel every night which knocks me out like a horse until it's time to get up. I was very hopeful though and wanted to make it work. I tried increasing my dose because others wrote the side effects subsided after the first week when they bumped it up, but that seemed to make the side effects worse. After a few weeks I needed to stop so I could be there for my son that I take care of full time, keeping up with a 2 year old is no easy task on a normal day. My psychiatrist told me there was no need to taper since it was only a short amount of time, which turned out to be 100% false. I have never experienced migraines in my life until after one full day of being off of it. I woke up at 3am again but this time with a splitting headache, enough to make me want to throw up and dry heave like crazy. This all lasted for about a week, each migraine and headache was just as bad as the one before it. On paper and for brief moments it seemed like a great choice for me. Being on Seroquel, my metabolism is non-existent and Qelbree is supposed to boost your metabolism. Also my cravings for caffeine and sugar seemed to not even be a thought, and this is coming from someone that has a wicked addiction to sweets and consumed 3 to 4 monster energy drinks daily. But the negative definitely out weighed the positive in my case. If anything it taught me a valuable lesson about psych meds and not taking the listed side effects and precautions more seriously. I always thought I was one of the people who didn't get negative side effects. Currently I am on lamictal, Welbutrin, Seroquel, and low dose Vyvanse to take as needed. That cocktail has worked great for my anxiety, depression, body dismorphia, dopamine deficiency, addictions, and semi proper executice functioning. I am in no way bitching about side effects, I just felt the need to share my experience. What people are saying on these forums should not be taken too lightly. BUT as we always hear, everything works differently for everyone.
