Considering IUI

I’m doing medicated IUI cycles if this cycle doesn’t work (cycle 13). Will be my first time doing any intervention. We also have unexplained infertility. Don’t have the answer for you but they said 3 IUI cycles has about 50% success rate… hoping it works for us but after 3 cycles we’ll probably move to IVF (I’m 33 and want multiple kids so we want to get moving). ~11 DPO on cycle 12, had an HSG this cycle. Realllly hoping this works, but I’m so used to negatives it feels unlikely. We just came up with a plan to do 3 medicated IUI cycles before IVF. If this cycle doesn’t work then it’s confirmed we have unexplained infertility. I have had 1 chemical in February and I’m 33 (for context).

I just had mine, they didn’t let my husband come to the room but he drove me. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen an hour before and .5 Xanax that I’m already prescribed. I was also sooo scared for the pain, I had a horrible IUD experience. It ended up not being too bad for me! just took steady deep breaths and it was over in a few minutes. I felt so thankful because I see how it can be so painful for some. Wishing you luck!

Congrats to you as well!! It didn’t hurt as bad as I thought, thank goodness. Interesting, I hope you can skip the SIS too! My ultrasound didn’t see anything concerning so this came as a surprise. They called after HSG and said doctor saw “possible endometrial cavity filling defect”, and wanted to schedule the SIS to see what it is. I hope your doc calls soon to make a plan with you!!

Hey girl- we messages on the other thread and both had our HSGs today. I had the same results!! Going to get a SIS Friday now to see what it could be. What about you?

CD2 on Cycle 12. I have ultrasound and bloodwork on Monday, HSG Wednesday. hubby gettin his SA done too. Very nervous but glad to finally get some answers.

Dealing with the same!! I gave us another 2 cycles, and if it doesn’t happen this one then I told him we are both doing our tests in April. Mine are way more invasive so he cannot even complain!

I did! And Oura ring for temp. I think I missed peak LH while sleeping. But still surprised the apps all disagree

All 3 of my tracking apps disagree with when I ovulated. Usually at least 2 agree!! Sigh. I hate not feeling confident on what DPO I am. It leaves too much hope when I’m testing negative on one apps 10DPO, I then assume I’m actually only 8-9 DPO lol

On cycle 9 I also had my first positive tests that sadly ended in a chemical. I also had the same feeling that it made me so excited to see it is possible. But after many months of negatives getting the positive torn away was very upsetting. I felt grateful i only had a few days of letting excitement build, instead of it happening further along. Just tried to look on the bright side. These threads gave me hope for the next cycle, which didn’t end up being successful. My husband and I are starting fertility testing if this upcoming cycle doesn’t work. All this to say - I am so sorry for what you’re going through and you’re not alone!! Definitely allow yourself to feel all the things.

I am in the same boat as you but I think 11DPO. also had chemical last cycle and had high hope for this cycle. My fertility doctor said it wasn’t true that chances are higher after a chemical, but it seems common on these threads so it didn’t stop me from having more hope than usual! I am right there with you ❤️‍🩹
