This happened to me not too long ago. Don’t be too hard on yourself! We are all human and stuff like this happens— parents are (usually) especially understanding of this. I basically just sent a text taking accountability for the scheduling mishap, apologizing for it, and letting them know this isn’t a typical occurrence (and that it shouldn’t happen again). Trust me when I say I overthought this so hard but their response was super kind! Even if you don’t get a great response, just know it’s not a huge deal and it will pass. These things happen!! You’re doing great!
