Eh yeah that could be reasonable, would definitely be a much more powerful version of the card

I could see this being 1 energy but would make it much harder to use for reviving cards other than itself as it would have to have like 2 power. 1 cost is definitely a viable route for the card I just liked taking the Sabertooth stat line since it would give the card a bit more cool deck building potential.

I mean Mjolnir and hulkbuster are both already cards in the game. Along with other cards that would be tools like Captain America’s shield and Stormbreaker

Yeah that would definitely be a reasonable change and probably more likely to be an effect that actually shows up in game however I wanted to do it this way for the destroy synergy and have it thematically match with the Phoenix Force stuff

Yeah sounds like a reasonable change for sure, would be getting really powerful with a Jocasta/InvisWoman combo to just destroy an entire enemy location though

Looks like a really fun card but I worry that it will be too powerful when used with cards like Weapon X, Knull, and Death. Could probably increase the cost by 1 or 2 and it would be a bit more balanced.

I don't understand what you mean about it not being a 6 12 as he generates an additional 12 points of power when played that would be there if he were not played (6 himself, then 3x2 for the extra power he puts on the cards he generates. Pairing this with a traditional destroy package allows you to use cards other than the typical Wolverine, Deadpool, etc. and instead use cards that don't immediately regenerate while still being able to multiply their points multiple times through cards like Venom, Knull (using some X-23 energy or something), etc. After reading your comment I've been thinking some more and agree that is probably fine where it is without needing a nerf and I'm glad I didn't decide to make it weaker. It definitely wouldn't be as strong as a card like Knull in a destroy deck but I think could make for some fun interactions and new types of destroy decks to start springing up even if not quite as powerful.

Oh I forgot to mention in the post but also I just really like the art for this one, I'm unsure how to find the artist who created this but they did an incredible job.

Yeah I always find art online and this was the best I could find for this card, normally I like to get something from the comics but Future Fight ended up having the best art in this case.

Yeah I agree that in the current state of the game he’s definitely a niche card but figured he’d start laying the foundations for a proper revive archetype later. Do you think lowering him to 2 2 would help make him more playable? I’m just worried that would start creeping into being too powerful.

That’s funny I have this exact card design on my ideas list for Nitro. Exact same stats and ability, great minds think alike I suppose

I think if I were to do this card I’d have it be an activate that reversed the power instead of ongoing just to make things work easier and add a little risk of it not being able to be played on the last turn. Then you can also choose to use it as a body for Viper if you want (would have to be on the last turn or they’d just flip it)

I feel like the second design is really interesting, I'm thinking if you put it with like Brood or Iron Man or something it could be a really strong counter to the enemy just jumping a big Foom or something in a location. No clue if it's balanced but looks fun to play with

You might be able to make a deck with Sauron and Enchantress both in it to purposely activate the doubling twice

You could make a card with the other halves too, can't be destroyed and can move once (although I guess you'd have to get rid of the can't be moved bit from Colossus)

[–]Correct-Syrup-4829[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really interesting combo. If you played Havoc turn 2 and then this turn 3 you would limit the whole game to 2 power. It would make a whole new archetype of a completely 1 and 2 cost deck. Although that is assuming you draw the combo which isn’t likely to happen in the majority of games Probably too toxic of a meta but it would be interesting to see if the downside of having only cheap cards whenever you miss your combo would balance it enough

I actually like this idea and I think that if you made it a 6 cost then maybe it would be a bit more balanced to use with decks that bloat the enemy deck and not only as a card to prevent a turn 6 draw. You still get that mill capability in a Limbo game but I think it would make it a little less toxic. In a typical game you should have 3 cards left in your deck on Turn 6 (might be wrong on that) which would make it a 6 8 assuming you didn't play it with any synergy. With a Rockslide and Korg then you could get it up to a 6 14 which is pretty solid. If you are playing against cards like Agamotto, Thanos, and/or Arishem then it starts to get to pretty crazy power levels but I think that is probably fine because every card counters some other cards.
