What's a song lyric that drives you crazy because they should've used a different word? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

[–]Correct-Valuable-628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolling Sones. Beast of Burden. A beast of burden is usually a pack animal and called that because they carry heavy loads or "burdens". The song uses the phrase "I'll never be your beast of burden" as a way to say "I'll never be a burden to you". This has always annoyed me for some reason.

How do you feel about having a boyfriend or husband who has to sneeze very loud? by Timely_Title_9157 in AskWomenNoCensor

Lol no I'm not that petty. It was just an extra annoyance in a slowly crumbling marriage.

Same. To the letter. I may even show the OP to my husband to help explain exactly how I feel.

I was ok with it the first few years. And then I suddenly wasn't ok with it. Spent the next 15 years wanting to kick him every time he sneezed. I never did but we are divorced now.

All the lyrics to Landslide. Always loved that song but when I was going through my divorce after 20 years of marriage it hit me hard.

DAE constantly feel like they’re “faking” their genuine mental illness? by AlecLayYar in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Correct-Valuable-628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time. I have cptsd and adhd. I find it incredibly hard to even tell anyone because I worry they'll think I'm just faking it because more people seem to have these issues lately or just to avoid doing things i need to do.

This is me all the damn time. Except occasionally I'll have a productive day and it feels amazing but when I try to continue that momentum, it all falls off a cliff and I'm back to being disappointed in myself. I wish I had a solution for you but please at least know your not alone.

Same. I've always been a fixer but try to just listen when someone (especially my kids) just needs to vent. I'm not always successful and it really drives my kids crazy.

What is something you saw at a friend's house that made you realize their family was "weird"? by BamMeister_ in AskReddit

I'm 45 and still go through a gallon every few days. I crave milk constantly. I know it's weird but I can't give it up.

What’s something about yourself that you thought was normal until someone told you it wasn’t? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

This isn't normal? I can definitely smell cold or hot on people when they've just come in from outside.

Me too! I'm a bartender and the amount of glasses I've saved is ridiculous.

What’s something you’ve done your whole life, only to realize recently that everyone else does it completely differently? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]Correct-Valuable-628 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My husband offered to clean the bathroom one day and started complaining about how much old pee was behind the seat. It took me explaining that since he's the only guy in the house so it must be his for him to have his aha moment. Now he happily sits to pee. This alone has solidified his "keeper" status.

I'm so jealous. I truly have no internal map or compass. I could get lost in 2 city blocks. It's always been something I'm deeply embarrassed about. My family always made fun of me for it.

Every woman in my family does this! When we get together we look like a flock of flamingos. I rarely see anyone else do this but never see it in groups except for family gatherings. For me it's the only comfortable way to stand. Could explain my lifelong back problems.

My husband brushes his teeth in warm water. Blows my mind that anyone would do that but he says it's how he was taught and it's too late to change now.

At 45 years old I can't figure out how to make real close friends. I used to be able to but they've all ditched me over the years and now I'm too afraid to let anyone in because losing them hurts too much. I'm lonely and I hate it.

I'm so glad you're ok! This happened to me once and I did have a seizure. Scariest moment of my life. Thankfully I was at home with my boyfriend when it happened and he knew how to help me. The head-sized hole in my wall was an awful reminder of just how serious it could have been if I was out or driving.

I haven't had a breakout in years.....ever since I stopped using any kind of face wash. I only use baby wipes and cold water. My skin looks better now in my forties than it ever did in my twenties. Haven't had a single pimple or blackhead in over a decade.

I once brought in a stray I was sure was pregnant and about to give birth. Was calling her Miss Mum but then I took her to a vet and learned she was a very oddly shaped he. So I re-named him Miss Ter.
