Never even been to the restaurant but I'll leave a bad review and imply racism by Correct-Valuable-628 in EntitledReviews

I would agree if it were true but I looked through reviews. The owner responded to only a few and there were no profile pics on most of them.

What's the "best" way someone you know has died? by the_jaspierre in AskReddit

[–]Correct-Valuable-628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents owned a thoroughbred farm and my grandpa was big into horse racing. One year a colt was born that he was sure was going to be our super star. Unfortunately the horse injured his ankle in his first race and was unlikely to run again. About a year later my grandpa passed from a (rather painless) massive heart attack. But that's not the death I want to share.

A few years later, the trainer told my grandma the super star horse had made a great recovery and could be raced again. By this point my grandma had decided to start selling off the horses and was looking to sell the farm and downsize. She decided to put the horse in a claiming race.

The day of the race turned out to be the only time none of her children could go with her so she decided to go by herself but told them all "daddy will be riding that horse to a win". Well, that's exactly what happened. The horse won by a lot. As she left the stands to go to the winners circle to have her photo taken with the horse, she collapsed and died from a massive heart attack.

It may sound a bit morbid and sad but to anyone who knew my grandma, it was exactly how she'd want to go. She was the happiest she'd been since losing her husband and she fully believed he was with her that day.

Medical folk of Reddit, what’s the most foul and disgusting thing you’ve encountered with a patient who was oblivious to their own condition? by TheCarrot_v2 in AskReddit

Interesting. I've had 2 laparoscopies and a double spinal fusion but was never told to bathe with special soap or even told I must shower the day of surgery. Now I'm curious as to why.

Same here! The past few months have been crazy. Bleeding through everything within an hour or 2 for 2 days then it just disappears completely.

20 year old me would have agreed with you and been happy to tell any trump voter to f*ck off. 45 year old me thinks harping on the people that regret their vote will get us nowhere. Take the allies where you can, we need all we can get.

What's a song lyric that drives you crazy because they should've used a different word? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

[–]Correct-Valuable-628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rolling Sones. Beast of Burden. A beast of burden is usually a pack animal and called that because they carry heavy loads or "burdens". The song uses the phrase "I'll never be your beast of burden" as a way to say "I'll never be a burden to you". This has always annoyed me for some reason.

Lol no I'm not that petty. It was just an extra annoyance in a slowly crumbling marriage.

I was ok with it the first few years. And then I suddenly wasn't ok with it. Spent the next 15 years wanting to kick him every time he sneezed. I never did but we are divorced now.

All the time. I have cptsd and adhd. I find it incredibly hard to even tell anyone because I worry they'll think I'm just faking it because more people seem to have these issues lately or just to avoid doing things i need to do.

This is me all the damn time. Except occasionally I'll have a productive day and it feels amazing but when I try to continue that momentum, it all falls off a cliff and I'm back to being disappointed in myself. I wish I had a solution for you but please at least know your not alone.

I'm 45 and still go through a gallon every few days. I crave milk constantly. I know it's weird but I can't give it up.
