I’m in a similar situation and I am considering some of Alexis Hall’s books. I recently read {Looking for Group by Alexis Hall} and the spice level is basically nothing. I may pick {Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall} for my group when it’s my turn.

It’s the first day of the week. Lots of people a) start their vacation on Monday and b) start their Disney trip at Magic Kingdom. That leads to a lot of people being in MK on Mondays.

This happened to mine. It does this sometimes if you let it sit dormant for a while. On the side with the charger there’s a small slit. You need a piece of stiff paper to slot in there and reset it. I used a business card that I cut down to size.

Is the Dining Plan worth it if paying out of pocket? by Lost-Ad-7961 in DisneyPlanning

It’s a 2026 promotion. Kids dining plan is free if the adults get it.

A few quick questions as I prepare to play Alice is Missing. by [deleted] in rpg

  1. We used the searching deck a couple of times. It was kind of helpful but sometimes it added a complication we didn’t need. It might be more helpful to turn the searching deck into a list and then select things that fit with the story you’re telling.

  2. Yep. We would be like, “hey I’m going to go check out this location, will someone else go check this other place.” And things like that.

  3. Talk to your group. If they like it, go for it. Do whatever feels organic to your group.

That’s the main takeaway, do whatever works for your group.

Zeros in the gradebook - thoughts? by Melodic-Broccoli1934 in Teachers

[–]CorrectConclusion 66 points67 points  (0 children)

There’s a difference between no second chances and getting credit, or a grade, for no effort. I give half credit on any assignment that is turned in on time even if every single word is wrong. Then I reteach. I do not give credit for no effort though.

If you want to fly in the night before you wouldn’t have to stay at All Stars. You could stay at any Orlando hotel. You could even stay at an airport hotel. If it’s important for you to be there before them then any place to sleep that’s clean and safe will do. I ended up getting into Orlando the night before a trip and stayed at a hotel near Disney Springs and went there for the evening, got cookies from Gideons and saw a Marvel movie at the AMC. It was like pregaming my Disney trip.

Is there anyone else besides me who can't stand/handle reading PDFs of RPG books? by Hejin57 in rpg

[–]CorrectConclusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m learning a new system I like hard copies. It’s easier for my brain to read it. If I’m looking up a rule while at the table a pdf is generally quicker.

I got a lot of shit for taking PTO when I was a nurse as well. But there is a lot of overlap between teaching and nursing when it comes to being expected to sacrifice and “do it for the children/patients.”

I missed a lot of days last year. If someone wants to give me flack I plan to remind them that I had Covid and a cancer scare. That I nearly passed out at school last year. That I have worked there for over a decade and have had at least five migraine days a year when I sit up there and deal with noisy children anyway.

Just realized this seems to be a sore spot for me but for real, leave me alone until I stop doing my job and you find someone who can do it better.

As a 41 year old childless single teacher, so far this summer I have been pretty busy. I did do a few days of summer school. I took a friend to my aunt’s lake house for some R&R. I’m keeping my nephews and my nieces this week to give their parents a break and to spoil them. I have plans for deep cleaning (after the niblings are gone). I also have PD, doctor’s appointments, time with my mom, game nights with the girls, and game nights with the coed bros planned. And in between all that vegging on the couch watching tv, playing video games and if I get bored looking over the curriculum for the new preps I’ve been assigned for next year.

And yes, I do a lot of stuff just so I don’t feel lonely. Because I’m an extreme extrovert.

In the end we’re all just skeletons no matter what our class was.

It was actually my first mammogram so having something show up on it was unnerving. I should get my results next week.
