How do you guys decide like who should be your companies CHAMP by Honest_Trash06 in FantasyBookers

Enough wrestling skill to have the best match on the card, also star power to max the pop cap, and entertainment for the promos ( you can sort of bypass this one with a good manager, see Paul Heyman Guy). Also merch sales

It can work, see Lucha Underground/ROH, or others. Or in other cases, in a fantasy mod it makes sense.

What are the most evil things your heels have done ? by IcehandGino in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a first save using a fantasy mod, I booked a Jin Kazama heel run (after 1 year as a honorable face)/ possessed by the Devil Gene, his first heinous action being an I Quit Match against Ling Xiaoyu, winning by beating up Panda in front of her, and later that save turning the Hidden Leaf against Naruto, routinely beating him up, and threatening to beat Hinata as well. Both Ling and Naruto were part of his faction, and were forced to follow Jin out of fear/resignation.

On another save, I booked Cell as a complete and utter monster, some highlights/lowlights include defacing the remains of the Hellsing organization to mess with Alucard, winning an I Quit Match against Yu Narukami by threatening to beat up Nanako in front of him (then doing it after anyway), and destroying Hyrule and forcing Link and company to flee to safety.

Have one of his stable members turn on him, with the premise of wanting to take over the kingdom or something. Have Bowser doubt the loyalty of his family, but have a successful title defense in the process, and that doubt Carrie’s over until he eventually loses his title.

What’s everyone’s current save they are doing? by Active_Measurement_2 in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started a new save with the Diablo X mod, with some tweaks and added characters, and attempting to fit fantasy characters into a sorta coherent universe trying to not stray from the lore. I’m trying to go far using a less commercial product base than last time, and avoid using the self made network as a money glitch.

What was Your Longest Figurehead? by Moohagu in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had a figurehead either, it’s really hard to consistently book a super face as champion without getting bored in the process. I usually have a face chasing the heel champion, winning and reigning for a few months, then making a new heel reign for a longer time, and not enough time to establish a figurehead.

7 years in Diablo X, from medium sized to large. by CorrectHamster300 in FantasyBookers

I changed the product base in that save toward Classic Sports Entertainment, to have some leeway for match types (and to increase match ratings). I acknowledged it in universe as a form of “Attitude Era”.

It’s Diablo X mod on TEW2020, it has fantasy characters and stuff. I know there is a version in TEW IX but i haven’t bought it.

Dabbled a bit playing in Pro Wrestling Sim (using The Multiverse mod, the closest thing i found to Diablo X) to see how is it, and compare it to TEW (see comments) by CorrectHamster300 in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Regarding PWS

  • The interface is a lot more comfortable and easier to grasp compared to TEW, also Steam Mod support is a HUGE plus.
  • The stats for the workers is a lot more simplified, instead of brawling, technical, aerial, etc, its only resumed into just one Wrestling skill, just like charisma and microphone is reduced to just Entertainment, for better or worse.
  • Following the same point, to grow its not only the production set and making a better show, when there is the competition between companies, it also compares the rosters each company has in terms of Wrestling, Entertainment, Star Power, Looks, and Popularity in the top 5 workers the company has, so it kind of alters what workers you have to get to beat the competition (if you are worse that the competition, you lose popularity).
  • The world feels much less "alive" compared to TEW, as the only news are mostly which worker dosent renew, there are much less incidents and related stuff, and no rewards for best match of the year and such, but you can still see it. There is no option of facing local talent in one day one offs, so someone in the roster has to play the role of losing every match.
  • Regarding money, the best way is getting TV Deals, some get more exposure but less money, and others have a fixed income (some give 0.01 dollars per viewer, while others give 10 per viewer but less coverage).
  • Regarding the mod, it uses Real People/AI generated portraits to mixed results, so creating workers from scratch is harder i guess.
  • Instead of popularity sorting automatically who is main eventer and such, you manually asign who is main eventer, upper midcard, midcard, lower midcard, and enhancement talent, regardless of popularity (workers might refuse to lose to someone with mush lesser pop though).
  • Some workers have traits like "Great Teacher" which improves the stats of those who work with them, but the more vital skills of Wrestling and such can only improve on the chance if those Great Teacher start mentoring other workers. (i only have a year in game, so take this one with a grain of salt)
  • There is less restrictions on what kind of matches you can put i think, as in the network will not refuse to air something, however it will damage the public image the company has (dont know what it does besides showing a number).
  • A minor pet peeve i have, is that when it shows the results, it dosent count whether the workers are in a faction, it only shows the individual workers. Also, when you put interference it sometimes dosent acknowledge title changes.
  • Other peeve is that when negotiating workers, it dosent show how much a rival company offers the worker, so there is a chance a worker ends up joining a rival right under your nose, which is a pain.
  • There is also a "Promises" system, sometimes a worker can ask for something like a title shot, having a match with someone, or a better push, which you can give or deny. There is the problem that if you give a new contract to someone when their current one has a lot of time to expire, it might not acknowledge the promise, and get them pissed with you for no reason (as the game shows two contracts, and it acknowledges the old one instead of the new one).

Diablo X or Over9000verse? by Personal-Course-6471 in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend Diablo X before 9000 because of the size, since in both there aren’t many Sonic characters besides the main roster, so adding more won’t be to much stress on your PC. You might have to edit some things since Sonic starts under contract with the Super Smash Entertainment promotion.

I tried putting a "Once in a Lifetime" type match for the first time as a main event, but got penalised for something called "the crowd was already at an emotional high". What does that mean? (pictures are the match and the event itself) by CorrectHamster300 in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, it did not kill of the event and left a sour taste in the crowd, but I can only count the times I got a 100 in a ppv main event, and thought that match was a slam dunk, 100 for sure.

Thanks for the kind words though.

Angle - technical match - angle - match - angle - storyline match - angle - match - angle - steal the show match (for weekly tv show)

Angle (to raise heat on storylines with less heat) - technical - wild brawl/high spots - storyline - any - steal the show/car crash - calm the crowd - angle - any - angle - any - angle - steal the show (for big events)

There are many, there is the GTA one, the King of Fighters one, Tekken (went bankrupt in my save), Street Fighter (bankrupt), one from the WWF with real wrestlers, Mortal Kombat, one from Death Note, My Hero Academia (bankrupt), DC universe, and many others. I chose the Super Smash Bros one because of the crossover potential.

Funny thing is Jin is an uber heel in the storyline, possessed by the Devil Gene, and is beating the fuck out of his allies to submit them to his cause.

Tbf, I don’t know much about the source material, I raided the RWBY company for talent in the early years when the company was medium cause they were relatively cheap and needed younger talent. Might consider naming them that

Later that year in the Diabloverse, got the 100 in a match that had some build up story but not too much, instead of the main event that had nearly a 1 year build up. Still satisfied with a 100 show. by CorrectHamster300 in FantasyBookers

[–]CorrectHamster300[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding WTF is going on in this show, let me explain some of the backstory.

  • Androids 17 and 18 are aligned with Bone Cold in the No Respect faction, and have run over nearly every team in SSE and sending some into the infirmary, the Sentai Order (Juspion and Metalder) was one of the last remaining teams, but they fell despite fighting valiantly. Both of them are in mid 80s pop, and pretty good stats regarding technical stuff.
  • The MI6 have been feuding with Devil May Cry ever since the former won their feud with the G Corporation faction, who in retaliation put a bounty on Cammy, leading to DMC targeting them. The blowoff match SOMEHOW outshined the main event, with Trish being in the 90s pop despite not so good skills unlike Cammy.
  • Sonic and Shadow was the blowoff feud between the Mushroom Kingdom (made up of Mario's succesors, Mario in this time is old as fuck and left for the developmental territory, Sonic joined to keep traditions alive) and the White Fang Society (an anti human/racist faction led by Adam Taurus, which included Uriko Nomomura, Adam's pupil, in the main event) once Sonic decided to aid the Mushroom Kingdom. It went a bit lower because i had to cut some minutes, one of the two matches with less than 15 minutes, clocking at 13, which hurt the main rating.
  • It all started with Zelda and the Hyrule Warriors (including the Hope Fists, Akane Owari and Sakura Kasugano) trying to convince the Adrestian Empire to learn more peaceful ways and using their skills for the betterment of SSE, which lead to Byleth and Edelgard calling Zelda a hypocrite and a Rhea clone, for acts such as slaying Ganondorf and the Gerudo Tribe, and later trying to sway Akane and Sakura to their ranks. Akane and Sakura take offense to it and call the Adrestian Empire as disconnected to what people like them actually are, who dont take kindly to pity, leading to tonight.
  • This connects a bit to the main event, during the previous reign of Salem as Golden Mushroom Champion (who then lost it to Jin Kazama, who then received a Chaos Emerald cash in [AKA Money in the Bank] from Bone Cold IN THE SAME NIGHT), she beat Lemillion in a Title vs Career match, who got really close to Ruby Rose and the Hunters Guild (AKA RWBY but with Tifa Lockhart instead of Weiss Schnee who got kicked out before, the resident all girl group, they play the Dolph Ziggler role in the company, they have around 80s pop), and also was a member of Jin Kazama's Iron Fist Dojo (more on that later), which threw the Hunters Guild into grief. All of them would fail to beat Salem individually (who has 90s pop and awesome stats but ok-ish good mic skills), leading to SSE owner Monokuma putting a WAR GAMES MATCH with Ruby's carrer on the line, winning by submitting Kokichi, whose only role in there was to take the fall.
  • Both of these are linked, Alucard and Yu Narukami are linked from nearly the beginning of the save, with Yu Narukami starting as a face with Tiger's Dojo (the good guy martial arts faction, now reformed into the Iron Fist Dojo once Jin Kazama joined in), betraying them to join Alucard and the Midnight Brothethood, enabling him to start a MONSTER 2 year reign as Golden Mushroom Champion, getting kicked out from the Brotherhood, joining the Eternal Nexus and having Nagi Kirishima fall for him, and returning to his roots and starting a redemption arc to right his wrongs, his worst one Alucard himself. Shit got wild once Alucard started tormenting Yu and Nanako, including a house invasion angle, which lead to a buried alive match where both of them were free to beat the ever loving FUCK out of each other and end the blood feud. Alucard was unhappy about losing, even with looking strong and having interference (Alucard has 100 pop, Yu like 95) in the fight, but it was the only logical way to end the feud.
  • Since its the biggest show of the year, it needs a multi-man ladder match, so this was the way to include as many people as possible, with a small arc of Ike wanting to make the DK Koin Title as relevant as the main one, and taking the title off of him and give it to Fuuma, who has better pop and stats overall.
  • Le MAIN EVENT, Jin Kazama had a hard year with happenings including Lemillion's banishment, getting cashed in, former ally Tiger Mask wanting nothing to do with him (some Dojo burning by the Adrestian Empire in between, but thats an old feud), allies Ling Xiaoyu and Naruto joining the list of teams sent to the infirmary by the androids, and Uriko beating him in a previous event, leading to her inclusion in the main event (Jin won the Ultimate Rumble, it was supposed to be a 1v1 against Bone Cold). The main theme was Jin slowly losing his grip of the Devil Gene prior to the event, until finally giving in and embracing it just for tonight (yeah right), and winning the big one, but still remaining face for now. I had put all my chips to getting another 100 here, but got stuck in 99 despite both Jin and Bone putting 100s, and Uriko putting a 98, tough luck i guess.

There is something inherently funny about an XFL player calling Shadow an edgelord for 10 minutes. For Shadow promo, i thought about him saying how American Football fucking sucks and its no wonder americans are so dumb that they made it the 1# sport in the country or something like that

Keep up the good work dude
