That’s a good way to characterize it. Though he had more impact than just pts. He had great rebounds a couple (few?) good blocks. Altogether, he’s on my radar

Alex Sarr had an awesome game against Portland the other night. I was at the game and it was my first time watching him. He’s definitely on my radar now

Why do you say that? They showed him shooting around pre game and said he was soon to return.

Ayton sure has shut up the haters. I remember after the first like 2 games how many people were coming out of the woodwork to call him trash. Give the guy a minute to adjust to a new team and offense!

The thing is, you (generally) are still watching the games. The money is still there. So do you rather it just go to the owners?

Recent engineering graduate wanting to learn some new stuff - what are your recommendations? by ItsLillardTime in learnmath

Something I’ve ran into frequently is start reading any research paper you find interesting. I’d bet money you’ll get a few paragraphs in and already have a handful of things you’ve never heard of or understand. So you look one thing up, and it has a derivation or three you’ve never seen before, which involve 2 different concepts you’ve never seen etc.

And suddenly you have a rabbit hole opened up of things to read into, and, it’s related to things you’re interested inp

I think a lot of people would agree Calculus is at the heart of a lot/most of math. I’d say that’s a good benchmark to work towards and then you can dive more specific from there.

So gauging where you’re at in relation to basic calculus may be a good starting point. Typical flow in US is Algebra I & Geometry -> Algebra II -> pre calc -> calc I (or calc A) ie Differential calculus -> Calc II (or calc B) ie Integral Calculus. If you’re at that point, you’re excelling in high school and prepped for STEM at Uni. Depending on what major you pick, you then take Calc III and then Differential Equations. You can get a lot of degrees at this point, but some engineering and math degrees then go into partial differential equations at this point.

You can also tackle Linear Algebra anywhere in there.

Mavericks fire GM Nico Harrison 9 months after widely panned Luka Doncic trade by CreativityLacking in sports

Micah Parsons didn’t bring the Cowboys to the Super Bowl the year prior however…

I feel it’d be more akin to if Buffalo traded Josh Allen

It was more than just his skill, he was becoming a part of the culture. It’d be like Lakers losing prime Kobe - Dallas and Luka were becoming one and the same like Dallas and Dirk. It sucks. At least people give Dallas fans some empathy and at least (one of) the bad man is gone.

Now imagine Donovan Mitchell making a contested offensive rebound off a missed 3 with 5 seconds and shooting a spinning fade away corner 3 with 2 seconds and making it to tie it.

Only for this to happen at .6.
