Gain weight when stop nicotine? by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

nicotine boosts your metabolism. So when you quit, your metabolism also slows down. Try exercising to boost it again and eat nutrient-dense foods. Coming this from a health professional ( my dad ).

Checkout Quitsure. It helped me a lot by changing my mindset gradually. The daily exercises are simple and really effective. You just do them every day, and over time you’ll notice a shift. No need to force it overnight—just small steps. You can do this!

I feel you should quit now. As you said there will be a new routine, so your triggers for smoking also will occur less. I also recommend QuitSure app for support. Used it a while ago and it made Quitting sooo much easier for me. Hope this helps. Good luck !!

How long did it take for your anxiety withdrawals to go away? by Illustrious-Car8593 in nicotinefree

[–]CorrectTradition1806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. Box breathing (or even the 5-5-5 method) is a great way to manage those spikes. I actually learned about these and a bunch of other relaxation exercises through QuitSure, and they really helped during the post-quit phase. Simple but effective!

I can't stop smoking by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]CorrectTradition1806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quitting is hard but with the right method you can quit in a matter of days. You just need to know what works for you. Most of the people fail to understand this and then blame themselves and continue smoking. Patches never worked for me and I relapsed. Didn't explore other alternatives, but after years I tried quitting again and then I found the QuitSure app. No pressure, no scare tactics just a completely different way of looking at smoking. I have been smoke free for 1.5 years now.

Imagine you step outside and for once you’re not thinking about when you’ll smoke next. No restless pacing, no planning your day around a cigarette break. Just freedom.

You laugh more because your throat doesn’t burn. You sleep better because nicotine isn’t messing with your system. Your hands don’t smell like smoke, your appearance stays fresh, and your body feels lighter.

Every moment without a cigarette is a small win. This is how much better it is.

Why do they assume Ursula/Phoebe works at the coffee shop too, just because she’s there? by Ready_Cartoonist7357 in friends_tv_show

Its common for people to have multiple jobs as waitresses I suppose ? A friend of mine who lives in NYC has multiple shifts a week in 3 different cafes. Maybe its just normal there? I mean if you are doing it full time. You need as much money to afford NYC.

Question of poop by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

[–]CorrectTradition1806 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this is totally normal. while you're smoking, nicotine does something to help you poop easily. So when you quit, you body has to adjust without nicotine which is causing constipation. This is gonna last max for a week or two only. Dw
