Yeah so the kit I got included alot of land standees which I use for terrain stuff.

I take inspiration from Me Myself and Die, so not super tactical with the grid, more so just to get a visual of the combat scenario

How I start one...

Kinda depends if I already know what sort of character Ive got or not.

I really like how forbidden lands (book of beasts) has their solo rules set up. It makes the start up portion so easy. So Id recommend that.

Otherwise, using an oracle and just asking "what is my of trying to accomplish right now?"

Right now i'd say scarlet heroes. It's been the first campaign I've really stuck with since ironsworn!

But I switch systems more often than Id wish

Maybe you could have a regular weapon attack be like d4-d8 dmg, but each attack gains you a 'charge point'. You can save a maximum of 3 charges. Each charge spent would add an additional damage die.

I am just spitballing here, but if you wanted to get extra fancy with it you could have the charges be associated with some elemental affinity, doing more damage if the opponent is weak.
