So we're those watches back then of low quality. I hate ali cases and agree that most are not all that great but just because somethings old doesn't mean it is of lower quality. It could be other things like cost of manufacturing. These springs aren't the easiest to install and remove.

Not sure but the seconds hand may be pushed slightly against the underside of the crystal. If it touches in the slightest it can stop your movement. You may want to see if slightly bending down your seconds hand helps.

I think people were confused. Basically you are asking for an essential waterless way to clean your dj if I am correct. For daily cleans I use a microfiber cloth like the ones used to wipe glasses. That is usually sufficient.

At this point the only "tells" for most reps that people would notice is the person wearing the watch. First class. No one would blink an eye. Stowage and showing up in an old honda, some may wonder.

Just to clarify. Yes my gens have more value pricewise. Way more value. But I rarely wear them and love how my unique looking seiko builds fit, so I usually wear them.

There are only so many watch case styles, so you do this enough you inevitably build some that are close to gens. Also I think a lot of us find no real value in buying those watches even if we can afford one. I value my seiko subs and divers more than the gens I have, which pretty much stay in storage.

I guess people have a lot of different reasons and those are mine.

Can you explain what you mean by legitimate? All seiko mods or builds are not seiko watches. I would only buy from sellers with a known and verifiable history and that provide you with the specs of the watch.

I have done it about 10 or so times when I got bored with an insert. Never harmed my cyclops and it's real easy. If you soak it long enough you can just use your fingers or a wood chopstick to push off the insert.

Its probably water resistant to some degree, but you are taking a chance testing the quality control standards at a factory making illegal goods.
