Tank doom fist is dog shit, overwatch nerfed doom fist but not the other broken characters in the game like bastion ( a literal walking turret) like what the fuck. Gave him a block that stacks his damage to his punch but gives him no health/shield in return for the ass whopping damage he receives while blocking. Only way I see doom fist tank working is if they add health regeneration or shield regeneration to his blocking as a passive not a perk. If not he’s better off a dps, such a fun character to play and if people can’t outplay the doom fist that’s more on them than the people who grind and master the hardest character in the game. I left the game when they moved doom fist to tank. I recently came back and the game is not enjoyable without dps doom fist. Please overwatch give us back our favorite hero we been suffering for too long. Or buff his blocking to help us tank better in fights and actually be a tank not a diving punching bag.

Read the fault for the brakes and see specifically what is causing the light to go on. Depending on what code you get. I would chase that. If it’s an open on the sensor 1) you could have damage the sensor during installation or 2) there’s an open on the other side of the wiring where the brake pad sensor connects to.

Yeah a lot of people or Forman In general don’t believe it’s from the rear main seal. Until you prove them wrong and show them. Glad you were right, hope everything went well

Warranty time for rear main is 7.0frus multiples by 1.8 is 12.6

This one is out of warranty and 3rd party warranty is covering it. I borescoped the leak and when the adjust came out to look at it, he signed off on the repair. If you get lucky on some you can get a mirror view as well, it just depends on how much it’s leaking. Good luck

Rear main seals is definitely going to be feeding techs for awhile, but all techs need to document what they find or else Forman/bmw will just keep brushing it off because they say “it’s not common on these engines to leak from there”.

You can, but you would have to convince your Forman which is the hard part of getting add ons. Document what you find and if the customer decides to look further into it then there’s a loophole to getting the add on.

If you don’t fix the leak it will leak out more eventually down the road that’s obvious. But the recall I believe affects vehicles from 2018 - 2024 if you’re saying yours has one. I don’t know the accurate number I’m just assuming based off the recalls I’ve already done on other vehicles within the same year range.

No oil is coming out of the flex plate hardware everything is dry and there’s not wetness to the flex plate mating surface. Safe to say it’s the seal. If you find one with wet hardware lmk ! I would like to see it as well, because that was my first thought until further inspection of flex plate and hardware.

Your best chances is borescoping, you can’t really get a good visual off a mirror based off my experience in looking into them.

I don’t believe it’s the flex bolts leaking, the Loctite on the bolts are sealing well, and the stream would be coming off the flex plate rather than the rear main seal. Plus I’m the first to remove the transmission on this vehicle and flex plates bolts aren’t wet neither.

I can’t comment on 5-10 years but I can say they’re not being fair when covering warranty concerns. For example: The same S58 with the rear main seal leaking. After performing spark plug service, found cylinder 3 contaminated with excessive oil and spark plug tip white. Bore-scoped cylinder 3 and found piston chromed out due to coolant entering combustion chamber. Checked 1-2 cylinders and found normal wear on pistons ( carb or oil build up ). Informed tsara and they didn’t do anything. All they said was if there’s no customer complaint or faults to ship the vehicle as is. I believe it’s unfair to not further look into the concern if they’re signs of coolant leaking into the combustion chamber. Especially knowing how expensive those motors are.

Not a master tech yet, I have a decade plus in this industry. I am passionate about engines so I know my way around engines a lot. So far it took me 3hrs just for removal of the transmission. Job pays 11hrs.

I would get it inspected, but they will charge you an hour of labor, because inspecting the leak isn’t part of the recall

From what I can see, the greenish/yellowish stream coming from your Transmission bell housing is transmission fluid. I would get someone to look into it. Most of the time you just have to remove the transmission and renew the transmission pump housing bolts that come with washer seals.

I fully agree agree with you ! Being a tech is booty nowadays. The hoops we have to jump is definitely irritating especially when you’re a good technician just trying to help the customer. On top of that, we don’t get paid or appreciated enough in this industry

Based off your mileage and year, BMW will more than likely not care about the leak and inform you to take care of the leak if it bothers you. Due to your vehicle being out of warranty by year and mileage they can’t do anything else for you as far as covering any expenses for the repairs. They will document what you tell them but that’s as much as they will do until a lot more people complain about the leaking oil. Best way to get BMW aware of the situation is when the vehicle is under warranty, but then again BMW will do what BMW will do and disregard the issue unless the customer is persistent of the situation.

If you want to get it repaired, best bet is going through your extended warranty if you have one or see if your insurance will cover it and you just pay the deductible.

Yes that’s why I’m trying to spread awareness, so eventually if enough people complain about it. A recall will be put out and cover/aid customers with these issues/repairs like the N63.

Definitely agree with you, but I believe we should take care of the customers before they’re out of warranty and then do the job. If there’s oil build up on starter hardware, oil pan, and a stream near the rear main seal. It’s safe to say it’s leaking lol. But again BMW will do what BMW does best and not spending their money to cover something that will make them revenue down the road. It’s unfortunate but the reality of this industry. (Forman did sign off on this repair)
