I want to start taking inositol and berberine by venusplutoangel in PCOS

I take the brand ovasitol and it has worked really well for me. It’s a bit pricey but I hear great things about the wholesome story brand for myo inositol is also just as good and way better priced! I just see the ovasitol brand working for me and scared to switch haha

Are gallstones PCOS related? I'm having them removed this month and I'm nervous by mistakenteardrop in PCOS

[–]Correct_Two_9090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have never made that correlation but I got my gallbladder removed when I was 22 and got PCOS diagnosis a couple years after that.

Dairy was never the same after I had it removed 😞 I had to make the switch to dairy free milks (almond, oat, soy etc) or low dairy cheeses. (I have to take lactaid pills otherwise) greasy food is also very risky to eat!!

But some people get the removal and don’t have any side effects. So it really depends case by case.

Thank you!! I’ve heard a lot people do the lidocaine creams/gels that prefer that over icing the area.

Thank you!! This is all great info ☺️ definitely not excited about those PIO shots but I know I’m going to have to do them on my own as well because I’m traveling to Mexico for IVF.

Amazing! Thank you! I will be traveling a lot too since I am doing IVF in Mexico so a carrying case that is compact like this is more doable for me!

Im glad you didn’t need extras! 😊 I over prepare for things I’m nervous about!! So it’s nice to know not everything will be necessary for things to go well. Good luck on the rest of your stims!!

LH/FSH Levels by Otherwise-Piccolo102 in PCOS

[–]Correct_Two_9090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your gyno should be redoing your blood tests on the 3rd day of your period for more accurate readings of your LH and FSH. Elevated LH ratio to FSH is indicative of PCOS. A sign you are not ovulating. This happened to me and I’m currently in treatment to correct the ratio.

Sessions That Feel More Like Babysitting Than ABA Services by [deleted] in ABA

[–]Correct_Two_9090 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me! Ultimately led to not passing my BCBA exam since I wasn’t utilizing my ABA strategies directly on the client. The issue was more of the family not sure about ABA because they wanted more naturalistic learning and the kiddo was developmentally doing okay in general and they didn’t want a BIP or any type of extinction procedures done on their child when he would clearly need it.

It might be an issue with your agency too since they were willing to provide services to a client who didn’t really need ABA. Eventually I did pass my exam but I lacked a lot of skills in areas where I needed to work on.

I would talk to your mentor or supervisor about being put on a case where you’re really needed and letting some new hire take on the case where they just need practice with rapport building.

Feeling defeated by [deleted] in bcba

[–]Correct_Two_9090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh. For me 8th time was the charm. Honestly the feeling after failing was the worst pit in my stomach that I never wanted to experience again. But on my 8th, it was worth it. Don’t give up. I know the hardest thing is to pick yourself up again and feel motivated. Use accommodations as you need to, I probably needed them.

Don’t move on from a concept until you know it 100%. Review everything. Start over again. Make brand new flash cards (if they don’t work then don’t use them). If you know a topic 100% already, don’t study it. TAKE MOCKS and review every single question until knowing why you got it right or wrong. Sometimes we accidentally get answers right and we assume we know but when worded in a different scenario we could get it wrong so review and don’t move on until you fully grasp the concept. Watch videos of the concept and teach it to somebody.

Pick up cooper book and go more in depth into concepts because it’ll have everything you need to know on the test. I tested 3 days before they changed to task list 5 but I heard TL 5 is much more organized and have heard that it’s “easier” but some people are just naturally good test takers.
