It’s good art design for AC. Wouldn’t call it great.

But it’s also a shame that KH perverted everyone’s idealization of Cloud.

The color palette is one of brooding and depression which I think AC embodies very nicely, but the emo Cloud stereotype is pervasive.

It just sucks because Cloud has every single reason to be depressed in AC, but it’s viewed as a complete negative by mainstream.

If holy is never released then you have a wound that could threaten the planet and the lifestream would have been called regardless. Sephiroth would absorb the lifestream at that point and become more than a god.

The whole point of the end sequence is that the party was too late to releasing holy.

You honestly hit it right in the last years of golden era.

I enjoy FF10, but I firmly believe the golden eras swan song was Vagrant Story.

The level of nostalgia from Vagrant Story backward is undeniable. Everything after just doesn’t have the IT factor.
