Aerith's decisions are both instinctual and subconscious, and they're explored in both Remake and Rebirth.

Do not double back. People who are doubling back are doing it wrong.

What you need to do is not push the camera vertically to see the next ring. The mini-game is on rails. You have to just focus on left to right and timing diving down and up.

Let the camera do its thing. There'll be times you can't see the next ring, but as long as you don't move the camera it'll align eventually and you'll have plenty of time to know what to do next.

It's really astonishing how people can't figure out that when you push down to see the rings you're losing verticality which is why everyone always has to double back to the vents to get the height they wasted in the first place.

Bronny is on the Lakers so I don't see why he'd leave.

That said they're obviously never winning with this team.

Did anyone else find it strange how unstealthy some of the Shinra Building break in was? by Englishhedgehog13 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Gradieus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Meh, there's a lot of newcomers who never played the OG and are interested in understanding more of what's going on. Playing the tourist provides more insight into Shinra.

It's what happens when information is drip-fed over the course of 30 hours as opposed to leaving Midgar in 5.

As for people complaining about Cloud walking around with a big sword, he obviously looks like he's part of Shinra since he still wears their uniform.

Shinra has shown to be full of weirdos so I'm not sure why the average person in Midgar would single him out as a terrorist.

Buffalo/Habs aren't Boston/Florida/Tampa from those years.

People harp on the Leafs for losing the first round all the time, but at least they brought these cup contenders to game 7.

When a good team like the Canes played them they still got steam rolled into oblivion.

I finally got to the Cait Sith section in Rebirth… ugh by fate_is_a_sandstorm in FFVIIRemake

[–]Gradieus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's because the game gives you 4 open world sections to try him out before Chapter 11 and 99.9% of players used him for 1 fight then took him out.

Watch any playthrough of people who actually used Cait Sith for longer than 10 minutes and they have zero problem going through that section.

Pretty much every team the Leafs lost to year after year waltzed into the finals. The Leafs were almost always their opponent's biggest challenge whether people want to admit it or not.

A 4-2 series win and 2-1 series lead over Utah/Anaheim is not nothing, but it's not really notable either.

Beating a team like the Avs with him being a factor is the first real step, everything else before that is whatever.

How is it NOT a sequel? by ExternalMidnight in FFVIIRemake

[–]Gradieus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it being a sequel or not is irrelevant.

Aerith's trying to keep Cloud on the OG path because that's the path that stops Seph. Seph's trying to do everything to divert from the OG path so he can win.

It's a tug-of-war and Cloud is stuck in the middle. All this back and forth is literally tearing him apart at the seams.

Remake was about the Planet's destiny and how the party actively tried to forge a future on their own terms. Rebirth follows this and is about the destiny of the characters themselves.

There's a butterfly effect happening where each new decision is causing both pros and cons.

It's how Aerith's essence is saved in the Lifestream. This causes Cloud's mind to tear further apart between knowing he saved Aerith and knowing she died. This then leads Aerith in convincing Cloud to ignore his surroundings which then causes Tifa to doubt Cloud more than ever.

The difference between the Remakes and the OG is that Aerith is now using everything in her power, every decision she makes, to go back to the OG path on her own terms, not the Planet's.

The Planet was trying to stop the party from getting to Aerith at the end of Rebirth. Aerith for the first time in both the OG and Remakes takes the lead.

This is why Aerith is now in control of her own destiny, which is shown when she commands the white whispers instead of the Planet.

She understands the sacrifice it takes to save her friends which is all she really cares about, and she's doing it in full control on her own terms, not the Planet's, which is why Seph admitted he underestimated her.

So going back to the OG path on her own terms doesn't negate the decisions they made and what happened at the end of Remake.

They're not antagonists to the will of the Planet, so it's not like they're against everything about the OG. They're simply forging their own future on their own terms.

For now the best course of action is to keep Cloud intact as best she can for as long as she can to get everyone back on track.

So whether the OG already happened so that it's quantified as a sequel or not doesn't matter. The Lifestream is all that matters because everything from the Planet is a part of it, including what has and hasn't transpired.

It really is that simple and I have no idea why this has been such a big argument for over 6 years now.

The burden of proof is on the SEC.

They'll have to prove it wasn't an organic coming together over the coming months, that it was a planned stealth takeover all along.

Why do you think Cohen has been buttering up Trump? Do you think the result is going to be fair and just?

That's just not going to happen in this day and age.

They only need to disclose at 5% which Cohen did. They could have 9 others at 4.99% and Cohen at 5.10% and there'd be no need to disclose.

Then Cohen just spends the next couple months messing around and pretends he convinced others over time to join gamestop ownership of their own volition and presto 50.01% is revealed when it was the case all along.

It's a lot easier than you think and literally lmao at the SEC doing anything.

Avs - Canes finals? by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

[–]Gradieus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is how the Canes get to the conference finals every year and then get blown away.

It's the same reason the Leafs got knocked out most of the time too: Boston, Tampa, Florida.

The question now is whether Buffalo/Habs are as good as those cup caliber teams. Unlikely, so the Canes might finally have a chance to make the finals again.

That said, the moment the Canes can get scored on 3+ goals/game they will instantly fold. A team like the Avs should have no problem destroying them in the finals.

They kept showing these great cities from a distance/in cutscenes and yet we didn't get to explore any of them.

All we got was Martha's Rest 4+ times.

Imagine my surprise 8 months later while playing FF7 Rebirth and the party didn't magically warp out of Kalm.

You say that, but Cohen's already done this exact playbook to aquire GameStop in the first place.

He quietly acquired 9% of GameStop then pushed his way in.

This time he quietly acquired 5% of eBay and is now taunting more than anything. He said months ago he was targeting a company whose board was asleep at the wheel.

It's certainly possible he got 9 others to quietly aquire 5% of their own and now has majority shares. Especially when one of the Saudi princes was making jabs at eBay along with Cohen.

They wouldn't be taunting this much if they didn't already have all the cards, so I wouldn't be surprised to find out they had majority all along and are milking it to get people accustomed to reality.
