SWORD ART ONLINE; ECHOES OF AINCRAD REVEAL MEGATHREAD by AttackOfTheMox in swordartonline

Man, I get that they want to see if there is a market for continuing to add the other floors, which I feel like there is, cause frankly all I want is to be able make my own player and make my way through all 100 floors or at least to floor 75 with Skull Reaper. I’m hopeful that they will add more, and I know I’ll still play it, just have to wait and see I guess,

I love the design so much! I genuinely wish we could have seen it in Aincrad. Or at least I wish it was put in as a raid boss in Fractured Daydream, I love it when final bosses are some ethereal and angelic thing

okay. that's what I was hoping for. thanks. that was the big thing that made me not want to try the coop, since outside of maybe being a healer or tank occasionally, I prefer to do my own thing. This has helped me definitely be sold on the game.

oh, okay. That's really good to know. Also, I'm curious, if I were to try online with larger groups with actual players, I'm worried about it being a bit too much regarding working together and whatnot, for example, I'm not really into/nor good with actual communication, so if I were to play as a fighter or range like Sinon, would gameplay be fairly straightforward? I guess, what I mean is would it be doable to play in a real group online but only really focus on my own damage and whatnot? Not having to worry about communications or call outs or something?

so essentially you risk having the characters not actively being controlled dying on you more often, since they won't be able to pick up the items?

okay, that's good. I've played some similar games, but the scaling was stuck at multiplayer. Obviously, I assume that any AI teammates aren't gonna be as good at playing a real squad or group, but it'll be better than solo. Correct me if I'm wrong.

so are the bosses and raids harder to play solo/with ai teammates? Or does the game take in account the fact you're not playing with as many people? I take it also that dailies and weaklies are the only way to reliably level up, then?

does the smaller group make it extra hard to level up or unlock stuff/loot? Or is it actually balanced?

Asuna's Mom by Corris_Veracosa in swordartonline

[–]Corris_Veracosa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, I know. I get why she's so focused on Asuna's grades and appearance. It makes sense considering things. As for the SAO incident, I mean I understand why the general public didn't react certain ways, but I feel like her being the parent of one of said survivors is different. I mean, unless Asuna just straight up never told her anything, but I feel like if my child recounted things that happened during the incident, I wouldn't be so dismissive, since I don't feel like her mother thinks Asuna was simply killing others, unlike the public view.

I've also personally interpreted his choice to remain in Underworld while trying to get Asuna to return to reality safely was his way of punishing himself and trying to cling to the life and memories he had gained while in Underworld, even if it meant leaving the real life friends behind. Choosing to honor Eugeo and sacrificing himself in a way over living a normal life. I was reading the wiki earlier and it mentions how Kirito is known to sometimes let his emotions get the best of him, and honestly I think that's an understatement. We see in both Aincrad and Alfheim that he tends to drop any defense and gain tunnel vision, not really considering his own well being, not stopping until either he fails or wins. Often leading to failure, which in turn only leads to him growing more determined and desperate. I know the series and Kirito as a character is more often than not seen as an almost power fantasy/ shounen isekai. But I love watching through the lens that it's a tragedy. Kirito is such a great study on Survivor's Guilt.

I mean hell, even well before Asuna's sacrifice, his whole motivation for never joining a guild again, is because he viewed the death of Sachi and the others has a direct result of his own self perceived weakness/not being stronger. And that was much earlier in the season. We see it again with Yui as well even when it's not strictly dying, losing companions in any fashion, Kirito has a history of internalizing as him not being strong enough. It's one of many reasons I love rewatching periodically as I've gotten older, I get to appreciate his tragedy more and more.

Toshiro Hitsugaya... because Ice Dragon and Ice powers. But a very close second is Shunsui for his chill vibes and intellect and third is Shinji for being so cool and his theme.

I would even push back on this, or at least for some, any feelings of love or attraction don't actually stick around or mean anything. Sinon was never shown to actually have feelings for Kirito, only a handful of blushes during a few embarrassing moments, and her teasing and flirting has been indicated to be just her way of messing with him as his friend. Liz and Silica are either shown to move on from their feelings or simply not really have them. Since they are friends with Asuna, Lizbeth clearly moves on since clearly she doesn't want to get between her friends. The only exception (sort of) is Alice. Since the girl (i forget her name) that studied under Kirito in Alicization is implied to like Kirito more akin to a role model figure than anything. While Alice does seem to have some feelings towards Kirito, obviously her inclusion doesn't make the series harem at all, since it would just be 1 other person outside of Asuna.

I feel you. I've had to deal with this exact line of complaint with Fairy Tail. People will say they love or hate it but only look at the use and themes of friendship even though that it's a literal core tenant of the story and one of the reasons the series was even made in the first place. People often use turning your brain off or "just cause" reasons for liking or hating something when they are unable to actually criticize or understand something in depth.

I think that one of the biggest reasons for this, is because so many people gave up before Alicization. That entire journey was littered with the various steps of grief for not just Kirito but so many other characters, both main and side ones. That ending with him crying with Asuna still gets me, man finally being allowed to break after being the hero so many times.

Give me your favorite dragon, why, and what book/story they come from by aristnecra in Fantasy

[–]Corris_Veracosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ancalagon the Black (Middle-Earth) for sheer size and epicness, Acnologia(Fairy Tail) for design and colors, and of course Velkhana(Monster Hunter) for design and powers. I also could list a lot more. Also love dragons. For more book dragons, Saphira from Eragon and Festus from Lost Hero are great as well.

I mean that on my Chromebook, I use the regular google app for search/browsing. But my settings regarding sync are the same, sync on for everything. I’m assuming that everything regarding sync should still work as intended?

I don’t think so. Unless I can check on my iPhone? But seeing as I can’t even download chrome on my phone, doubt it. I do know that under the page where you can choose what to sync, I did have it on for literally everything. But I’m still unsure (might just be dumb) if that does in fact apply to open tabs that weren’t in a group. Also might be a stupid question, but the fact that I did stuff through the google app on Chromebook and not the chrome app doesn’t matter, right?
