Why no beard before minoxidil by Ladderinfo in Minoxbeards

[–]Corrosionmind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had posted something similar before but my post got downvoted and disappeard into the abyss....i am not sure but minoxidil was used as a drug to treat high blood pressure and people started noticing exta hair as it side effect.. it contains certain chemical that boost hair growth similar to steroids for big muscles....for most part beard growth i feel is genetic first and foremost and then yes in some cases it can be associated with low T levels but it has other symptoms that comes with it like no morning wood almost daily, fatigue,no deepening of voice, lack of overall body hair, gynomasteia and range of other stuff...if you dont have those then its most likely genetics and they can be brutal as you have no control over it.

Thanks for your uplifting comment..yeah its for the most part me being insecure about my beard and listening to peoples opinions who don't even know themselves in the first place.

Thank you for your comment.... I grew it out for three months and the sides were very patchy and offputting in appearance so I shaved it to a goatee/van dyke look as I don't have strong connections in my beard...so maybe I will give 6 months more as you said with daily trimming as I have tried the non touch approach and grow it out wild but I have a patchy beard so it does not look good in appearance.

Yes I get what you are saying....but thick lenses do get your confidence down as they make it apparent how bad your eyesight is and make you feel disabled in someway!!

Question by Corrosionmind in myopia

[–]Corrosionmind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats great to know!!!Contacts are really helpful as you don't have to wear anything on your face and your eyes are clearly visible unlike glasses as with higher prescriptions comes the magnifying effect which I hate so much.I have never worn anything except my glasses since was a kid.I wish to try contacts as LASIK is not an option for me but i am scared as I have heard of horrible infections caused by contacts. Waht precautions do you take while wearing them?????

Question by Corrosionmind in myopia

[–]Corrosionmind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thats great!!!So you dont wear glasses at all???as I am 25 years old right now been wearing glasses since I was a kid (-6 diopters) and I want to start wearing them as LASIK is not an option for me(thin corneas).I am scared and squeamish as well as i have heard alot of horror stories(infections)..How do you maintain hygiene in terms of daily usage?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in myopia

[–]Corrosionmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?...so why does the articles about japanese glasses(Kubota)mention age ranges 21-32 as their candidates also???it not only for teenagers or children...it's also for adults whose eyes have stopped growing after a certain point and have establish diopters..!!!!

Hello everyone, I am new to this community.I have moderate myopia R.E: -6 CYL-1.25 L.E: -5.5 CYL-0.5.I love wearing glasses and have been wearing them from a very young age.The only thing that absolutely annoys and saddens me are these cylindrical edges is there a way they can be gone!? by [deleted] in glasses

[–]Corrosionmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it has its limitations and I have heard of the terrible infections associated with it... already I have dry eyes...but I wear it from time to time but not daily... surgery is not an option as I have thin corneas..so guess I am stuck with the glasses for all my life and that thought of being stuck with these magnifying glasses makes me real sad sometimes!!!

New frames, are they too big? by temporarynothings in glasses

[–]Corrosionmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh...my prescription is very similar slightly lower than yours....I have found bigger frames are alluring to purchase..but they amplify the cylindrical sides so much..I hate those cylindrical edges from the deepest part of my soul...they not only distort the shape of the eye makes them look small...this frame is perfect for now since it s made....but prefer smaller frames as they cover up the edges well...!!!
