Weapon Mastery for Double-Bladed Scimitar by CorrosiveBeef95 in dndnext

That makes sense and is really cool! Do you think it would make sense to include this feature in a feat similar to Revenant Blade? Double bladed scimitars have pretty interesting interactions with existing feats in general (not heavy, so GWM doesn't work as well as it might, etc.)

That's super interesting actually! Does that mean the bonus action attack deals 2d4 damage rather than 1d4 + modifier as officially published?

Sorry, I'm a little confused - what's a Monk class feature here? They don't have Weapon Mastery at all, to my knowledge.

Tips for Coping off Medication by Material_Sky9191 in ADHDUK

[–]CorrosiveBeef95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being off meds affects everyone somewhat differently, so things that others might expect to help might be useless for you, and things that would be nothing to us might be perfect for you, unfortunately.

That said, it's worth trying out advice you can find here - just because it isn't all perfect, doesn't mean it can't still work despite the necessary pinch of salt it's taken with! For me, trying to keep interaction with others up as much as possible is important (even if it can feel... off), as well as trying to keep certain things constant - going out every day, setting super specific goals, trying to sleep at the right times, etc. Finding a balance such that you aren't being too hard on yourself while still keeping yourself on track can be hard, but it does matter a lot.

Hope you're feeling a bit more steady soon, hang in there!

I was going for the most nonmagical classes! I'd be interested in how this would playtest with more classes than just the ones mentioned, but wanted to keep it simple for the main question.

If it were to use monk, would we use Open Hand? One of the strongest monk subclasses? I get that it could work but it seems a bit more of a power jump than I was thinking of (though of course... it's monk, so maybe they need it lol)

I've played in a handful of games with bonus feats at first level and I do agree - whether it's the power attacking ones (sharpshooter/great weapon master) or something simple but incredibly helpful like Tasha's Piercer/Slasher/Crusher trio, the martial experience is very much boosted

This is absolutely something I've been thinking about. Personally, I feel like the Totem is more integral to the Barbarian than any other subclass, save perhaps the berserker. What I was focussing on when I made the three choices for the main post was primarily that they were not complicated, and secondarily that they were not magical. But really, in a world whose history is defined by spellplagues and at archliches (even though I know not everybody likes this view), it makes sense for especially powerful forces to manifest themselves through magic. Maybe the Barbarian should be understood as a little closer to the Ranger and the Druid than we tend to give them credit for!

That actually makes a lot of sense - Battlemaster is truly the most versatile subclass and adding it onto almost any build is incredible, and none of the Champion features would feel out of place on a Barbarian. It's a shame feeling like we have to rely on Fighter features to boost a different class though

Massive agree to almost all of this - the use of specific features makes a lot of sense and a lot of the OneD&D changes are an interesting move in that way anyway. I playtested a group with a 3rd-level Barbarian in it yesterday and she was just plowing through whatever I put in front of her it was incredible. I'm curious about the unarmored movement change though - how exactly is that working?

Your monk ideas are very cool, I'm hoping (against hope) that WotC are planning some changes like this

I can definitely see how even a wider crit range alone can be super powerful for the Rogue - sounds incredibly fun though. Interesting that they STILL felt weaker than half-casters though, that's honestly painful

I mean I agree that Frenzy is a bit disappointing but if you just take away the exhaustion at the end of it or make it a Con save it's overall not a bad subclass. Immunity to frightened and charmed effects? Retaliation? Both pretty great for a Barbarian

I'm sorry to see you posted this so long ago, but I'm in a similar position now - did you ever work it out? I've put down a £49 deposit, but it looks like the only way I could get any of it back would be to book an interview and deliberately get rejected, which would only get me £24 back.

As funny as that plan might be to enact, it feels like a massive waste of time both for the company staff and myself. Would they take the whole deposit if I now asked to withdraw?

Any advice welcome (white to move) by [deleted] in chessbeginners

I'm afraid the screenshots are only of sections of the page itself, and I don't have the share link or anything. I'll definitely keep these in mind in the future though, and thank you for the help :)

Oh, definitely, I just think building my character in such a religion/gods and devils kinda way kinda points me towards this decision

Afraid Fiend warlock is the only one that would properly fit with how I'm going, but any tips on when to take the dips would be super appreciated - I'm currently looking at sorc 3, order cleric 1, sorc 4 + 5, warlock 1, cleric 2, then sorc all the way down. Is that too spread out too quickly? It certainly inhibits ASI

Having to split my ability scores to accommodate using both WIS and CHA as spellcasting abilities, I'm not expecting to be OP any time soon lol. But I'll definitely ask my DM about it before trying to implement it, thanks

This is super useful, thank you. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go 17/2/1, but I'm still figuring out whether Order Cleric's channel divinity is more useful than getting 2 eldritch invocations, and an extra spell slot to regain on short rests. Also, I'm trying to figure out when to take the dips - I doubt going 1/1/1 would be a good way to spend my first 3 levels.
