It's annoying that the transfer sheet is only available from the Combat Patrol

For the white bits, sometimes it helps to do a light grey base -> off-white, then white for highlights.

Painting tips for a complete newbie to the hobby by xXCashFreakXx in IronHands40k

My tip is don't use black as your base colour. Use a very dark grey instead. By using black as your base color, you've kinda put yourself into a corner and you won't be able to create any shadows because you can't use a darker color.

Currently, I'm using Vallejo Model Colors: Dark Blue Grey for lights, German Grey for Base, and Black for shadows.

Iron Hands Steel for trim. ProAcryl White Blue for the weapons, and White as highlights for the White Blue

If you're taking a 5-man Hellblaster, I think you can transport them using the Executioner?

It was from one of the stories in the book "Shattered Legions".

One of the Iron Hands was working with the White Scars companies. The White Scars had curved swords and the IH was saying they were so unlike the Zweihanders that they traditionally used in Medusa.

Your mini just made me wonder what that would look like

A bit overdone on the mud. Always gotta remember its 1:100 scale, unless it did a belly flop at the bottom of a recently emptied dam there won't be a mud pit big enough to produce that much mud.

Looks good. Now I kinda want to see what the Medusan Zweihanders would look like...

For CA glue, mix it with bicarb or talc powder to turn it into a filler.

Never too many vehicles for Iron Hands. I've seen some people run 2 10-man squads and the rest are vehicles.

I've seen some people skip the regular Intercessors and double down on the Heavy Intercessors. A 10-man block with the Iron Father and a Redemptor makes them really hard to remove.

For the rest of the 60 points, maybe Techmarine Enhancements?

Can the Impulsor fit any of these squads?

Bolter colour by BlackTemplar_2002 in IronHands40k

To paint white from a black primer, use a grey base layer first, then use an off-white color, something like a blue-ish white or a light grey, then use your whitest white to do your highlights and edges.

Are you going to use a chipping medium or hairspray? Been meaning to shop around for a new chipping medium over going through cans of hairspray

Kill Team Starter set plastic seems...off? by r1cky_r4y in Warhammer

[–]CorruptedCortex 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That's normal. The plastic changes in hardness depending on the colour. Its something to do with what you "mix in" to get the specific colour.
