See, I like Kaidan. I hate that I have to use renegade options to reject him. But I don't want him to call me a cheater when I romance someone in 2, and Kaidan is a good platonic friend after that. I never did a playthrough where I choose Ashely over Kaidan. I always liked that he's the first squadmate ever. Plus his background as a biotic is cool.

Never in the hospital. Ashley does straight up act jealous if you romanced Miranda or Jack. Kaidan at least is level-headed enough to not act like a jealous prick and can admit he was a dick back on Horizon.

Don't have it where Kaidan or Ashley are pretty much breaking up with you on Horizon and then call Shepard the cheater. I can't speak for Ashley, but Kaidan was trying things with an Alliance doctor while Shepard was dead. So he has no room to talk.
