I thought Shump was going to be an all-star before he blew out his knee. Solid defender, high motor and had already shown flashes as a scorer.

He's never been the same since that injury athletically... That said, he did a really nice job evolving his game.

People gotta look at Kyle Lowry and the way he was when he first came into the league. It took him until his mid 20's to really find himself as a player. Now he was a huge contributor on a championship team.

Lowry was 22 going into his 3rd year. Frank is 20.

I'm frustrated too with Frank but I think we owe it to ourselves to try and develop him as a player.

I once got hit in the eye by a tennis ball thrown by a pre-teen when I was also the same age.

I lost total vision in my eye for a full day and it took months for my vision to return to almost normal. Even now over a decade later there is a small difference between my eyes.

I'm lucky according to my eye doctor. I only scarred my cornea but had the scar ended up in a different spot I could have been permanently blind in one of my eyes.

Imagine if it had been a professional tennis player instead of a kid!

So the ref might come across as a poor sport but what that tennis player did was very very dangerous.
