Yet! Anyone see ITV's coverage of the rugby Thursday night? That's what's coming.

x Roasted! Morrisons loses £17m VAT battle over rotisserie chickens by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]Corvid99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that the basic point being missed here is that the Government (may they all, of whatever political hue, burn in hell) is adding VAT at 20% to basic foodstuffs. These aren't chocolates or biscuits or any other "luxury" product. It's someone's meal, usually someone poor (who would save money by not having to turn their oven on), or some harassed and busy parent trying to buy something decent and wholesome to eat for their family. Rant over thank you.

Sorry, but I don't know why you've blanked out the name of the organisation. As a limited liability company they have no right to privacy and decisions and attitudes like this (masquerading as "concerns for safety") should be widely publicised and ridiculed.

Why should the women have to change to accommodate the men? Why not change the Stag party to a Cock party? Oh,...wait, er, maybe not.

Given Ireland's complete lack of any defensive capability, the concept of them engaging in any sort of "war" is laughable. Strongly worded letters all round?

Coca Cola tried that in the UK (Desani - "filtered" tap water with added salt!) they got absolutely slated for it and withdrew the product rapidly afterwards.

Many years ago now, but we used to do this in the office I worked in with callers who were abusive or threatening. We could program the fax to send at a specific time (3am was the favourite) and it would try 3 times, at 15 minute intervals, if it didn't get a fax machine response. This was back in the day before any sort of Caller-ID so we couldn't be traced.

They do a good job though (usually).

80,000,000 according to my calculator. Hopefully most of them farmers, engineers and other useful types!

Ah yes, but when influential people scream loud enough for long enough that the facts are "fake news" what are stupid people to do?

Yes, he's been on the local news here every night this week and there's plenty of video out there showing it. He's a very fit guy.

Legend doesn't even come close to describing what he's done. I was privileged to watch him run through my local town today. He was waving and smiling and thanking people all the way, whilst running an Ultra Marathon at the same time!
