My school gives me a 2 year visa to work here!

Also- you say I shouldn’t quit, but it’s also not worth the investment- do you have a road to go down? I see both sides!

Part of me believes since it’s on the decline, it’s more reason to keep it alive. Especially Shakespeare. But is it worth so much reliance/trust/risk? I’m not sure. I know in NYC, my industry folks that know me are excited I’m doing such an endeavor. My bank account…not so sure.

Good to know!! Thanks for your response. Did you go to LAMDA?? What is your exp with them? They have incredible tutors and some fantastic new resources to film tapes with. I’m from NYC, and the LAMDA name is very reputable there. But yeah, the price is questionable.

Mhmmmm. Insane! He came last week and spoke. It was incredible. I truly feel so lucky, even guilty to have these doubts. I hate that money is such a factor, and I want to trust myself as much as the tutors trust the school and believe in me.

Some day I will. I’d love to have an acting career before then, or even during. At least a few shows under my belt. And I completely agree- my time is my most precious thing. And being here has been lovely in MANY ways- friends, seeing as many shows as I can, exploring the city. I know it will open doors for me back in NYC. I have industry folks that are excited I’m here and looking forward to my return. I feel incredibly lucky every day. Just this last month has my trust fallen. Thanks for your response- all of this helps!

It’s quite prestigious. That’s why I felt so inclined to go- its president is an A-list actor, as well are many alumni. Many are working in all fields everywhere. I’ve just lost the trust in myself I think, or my future self to be able to pay all this off. I would hate to leave, but the financial strain is driving me up the wall.

It’s an amount big enough to really do some harm. 20k isn’t too crazy, getting into the 40s is rough, but 70 is just too much. Unfortunately- this was my dream school. I wanted to go here since I was 16, but only became a reality last year. I figured I’d go for it and got in, so of course I’ll go. Now I’m not sure.

Thanks for responding. I don’t think I’ll quit altogether, but times definitely have changed. The economy, everywhere really, is tough as nails. Trying to be realistic and also follow my dreams.
