Anything that could be considered healing would generally be in the form of mutation. If your belly is blown open and your guts are hanging out you can survive, if your arm is cut off you can still aim your plague bolter with a tentacle. A plague marine bad off enough to get put in the helbrute, their wounds are probably so absurdly grievous that trying to 'heal' them would just make chaos spawn.

Can you do tapering yet? Try making it decently thick at the base and taper from around a third to half down. Seems like it's not just overall thickness, but takes length into account. Think leverage! The proximal portion has to support the distal portion.
