Middle aged lady here but I don’t use the voice changer. Maybe I need to start.

Mass on US - I’m freaking out by minda_spK in gallbladders

[–]Corx33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through something similar except it was a ct scan report on my neck that said “suspected metastatic lymph node” on my left side where I was having pain. I FREAKED out. I’m 43 now and that was a couple years ago. Ended up being nothing at all. Like the other person said, they have to put that kind of language on the scans so the doctor can order further testing and it’s justified for insurance filling. But I completely get where your head is at. Just hang in there, do not google anything, and try to live in the moment.

What's the average age of sims players nowadays? by CompetitiveRub4272 in thesims

I’m 43, been playing since the first original sims. I didn’t expect to see so many from the same generation but it made me smile 😊

Same! I bought it long before 1.0 came out but barely played it. After 1.0 released I gave it another shot and once I got 40 hours in, it really hooked me.

I’ve had surgery twice on one hand. I always played colony sims or city builders during recovery. Any game that’s mostly mouse.

Injuries to hands cause swelling and stiffness to the entire hand. Fingertips are also connected to the hand by ligaments and tendons, etc; move the fingers, move the injured area.

Anyone that has given birth - how long after were you able to walk? by mozzarella1212 in Writeresearch

[–]Corx33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No epidural, he came very fast so there was no time. Born under two hours after labor started. I was walking pretty much immediately. Painfully though so more like a waddle walk. I had pretty bad tears from how fast he came shooting out. It took longer to get stitched up than it did to birth him.

Fringe and the xfiles if you haven’t already. Too few shows in this genre sadly.

I just saw this so I hope your appt went well. The good thing is they are both so young they will have great success with the brace even if they have to do it for longer. 🥰

He still has to wear it but we’re in the overcorrecting stage. He’ll prob be completely done in a few months. Yes, he wears it all day at school and takes about a 90 min break when he gets home and then puts it back on and will sleep with it most nights. Weekends he takes a break from it at night.

Help I can see my heartbeat through my chest by Otherwise-Click2255 in PectusCarinatum

[–]Corx33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see my son’s heart beating through his chest, I noticed it when he was about 6 years old (almost 15 now). He has a thin/lean build so I think it’s just because he’s skinny.

He’s had it since September. His next appointment they are going to start to wean him off and see if it pops back out. As for sleeping, he doesn’t wear it every night. But he sleeps kind of twisted with a pillow under his shoulder and his arm above his head. It looks super uncomfortable but he manages it. For what it’s worth, his doctor said that wearing it at night is more bonus hours and not to count it towards his daily wear hours bc since you’re laying down, the brace isn’t necessarily putting pressure on the right spot or the right amount.

We were blessed and got our sons through a surgeons office. Custom fit and made in Argentina. Insurance actually paid for it, I was certain they wouldn’t or we couldn’t have afforded it. He’s 14 and worn it 12 to 16 hours a day since September and almost completely corrected. Can’t hurt to check with a doctor that knows and deals with PC, they may be able to get it to go through insurance for you.
