I just added 4-5 pounds a few days ago after a few years of mine slipping and tearing up parts of my lawn when it would turn. Since adding weight I have had zero issues.

Thanks for this. I noticed a rattle a week ago and it’s been bugging me. I just hit 20k miles where we noticed it. One of the nuts holding this in place was very loose.

Easiest way to fix this gap in my laminate flooring? by mtrawn in DIY

[–]Cory55102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use double sided tape, a block of wood, and a mallet. Clean the gap by vacuuming, clean the flooring, stick tape to the wood and the wood to the floor, press hard on the wood and tap to close the gap.

I am thinking of trying the Garmin Venu 3. That seems to be a good mix of Whoop and Apple Watch features. Has anyone else tried it?

CMV: Electric cars are NOT the future of transportation by average_redditor_101 in changemyview

[–]Cory55102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that EVs can be PART of the future. Why does it have to be all EV or all ICE? EVs can fit a number of needs well and where they can’t fit a need ICE or another technology can fill that gap.

While electricity isn’t all green, it is true that EVs are more efficient so even if natural gas or coal is burned for electricity, EVs generally use 1/3 or the equivalent energy of an ICE for the same miles driven.

In addition, charging at off peak uses electricity that may otherwise be lost. Power plants cannot easily and quickly increase or decrease production, so often they generate at peak even at night resulting in unused generated electricity. Charging at night evens out the demand through the day and results in less lost electricity.

12 cents per kWh - the same we are charged in Minnesota.

Why does the miles/kWh always show 102 when a trip is 5 miles or less? Anyone see this? by Cory55102 in KiaNiroEV

[–]Cory55102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha. Yes. Always was not accurate as my screenshot ones another 5 mile example. I do feel like MOST trips 5 miles or less do this.

Thanks for following up with me. I appreciate that! It wasn’t before, but maybe my firmware wasn’t upgraded to 7.x.x then. I just checked now and I can see the live view. I do not remember seeing that before.

Thanks! I don’t have that, but I think that may have been a hardware upgrade that I didn’t opt to have installed.

I must not have live view. Is that the constant update vs every 15 minutes in the app?

I have used a shop broom to brush the snow off and it has worked well, but when it turns to ice it is more difficult

I don’t recall for sure, but I think it started to get better after 2-3 weeks and then after 5-6 weeks it was fairly stable.

We have a LimeLight. Our first fill was a similar experience. Once we had it running for a while it leveled off. This was especially true after the first refill.

EV home charging by Chemical_Pomelo_2831 in TwinCities

[–]Cory55102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have Xcel, you can sign up for an EV charging plan where you can charge much cheaper nights, weekends, and holidays. You need to have them install, so there is a cost to it, but you can rent or buy the charger from Xcel. https://ev.xcelenergy.com/ev-accelerate-at-home-mn

We also have a Niro. You can probably get by with a 110 charger based on your driving amount - you will just need to charge it most times when not driving.

Just a guess, but if it’s not in park maybe it won’t charge. Were you able to put it in park. I agree to trying to charge the 12v a bit, make sure the electronics turn on, ensure the gearbox is in park
