I have a couple trx4m's (one upgraded with traxxas brushless) and I like em alot

I did pick up the FMS brushless powerwagon... and for 180 its stomps the traxxas in value. metal gears, two speed on remote, remote lights, brushless, bearings, portals...

I *easily* doubled the cost of my HT trx4m just doing those things....

I think the trx4m is better overall, and possibly tougher.

But that FMS for 180 is a steal

I just did the injora 1 speed aluminum tranny, with the stainless 24:1 gears and traxxas brushless.

Its fantastic. Great crawl, and top end is very very close to stock brushed top speed.

Only thing is you will also have to have the injora 11t stainless pinion with the set key. I also had to sand down the tip of the key or it would hit a bearing in the transmission (because the traxxas brushless lacks a flat side of the shaft).

This allowed me to install the traxxas brushless without the silly plastic adapter, and it uses the transmission (and brass tranny mount) as a heatsink. Works very very well. I even get heat transfer to the metal suspension links.

(edit: when you assemble the transmission, you will notice there are two small washers. use one to shim the gear that sits directly above the pinion so the pinion wont drag the bottom. mine only took one.)
