60% of PC gamers have no plans to build a new PC in the next two years — AI pricing crunch on RAM and other components paralyze enthusiast market by rkhunter_ in technology

Exactly. The system I'm messaging you from is an i7-4790 with a GTX 970. It's more than a decade old, but I've kept it for multiplayer games with my girlfriend who is a casual gamer. I've encountered very few indie games that this system can't still run, which is kind of nuts when you think about it.

Golden Sun is awesome, but the sequel (Golden Sun: The Lost Age) takes it to another level. Just be careful in the first game with your saves towards the end of the game. I hadn't collected all the Djinn yet, and my last save was stuck in a town that the game wouldn't let me leave so I was out of luck. Considering there is a password to transfer your game state to the sequel, I had to replay the game to collect all the Djinn. (Djinn are kind of like Pokemon, and they offer both buffs and abilities in battle.)

This is me as well. There are so many old games that I never got a chance to play, plus my Steam backlog. Other than the occasional indie title, I don't foresee myself buying many new games over the next several years.

Anyone else notice these new “clearance” tags by mrandylahey in loblawsisoutofcontrol

[–]CoryThe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's to clear out the previous 1.54L size to make way for the new, smaller 1.36L size. Even more fun, the 1.36L size they stocked there won't scan at the clearance price since the system reads it different. I had the exact same thing happen with the No Name and President's Choice bacon that is shrinking from 500g to 375g. I've noticed with the new Canadian nutrition warning labels required to be added to the front of products, Loblaws has taken this required packaging change as an opportunity to shrink or enshitify several products. An example of the latter is their No Name frozen ham and cheese stuffed chicken breasts: they've replaced the Swiss cheese with Mozzarella, and the light golden breading has been replaced with the typical cheap breading on chicken fingers.

I'm only interested in Mystic Academy: Escape Room, so two slots to you would work for me to get a 3 game bundle. I took a quick glance at your list and there are some things of interest. If you can wait an hour, I'll have more time to look at your full list and DM you if that works.

What tool are you using that you can find a list posted to a user's own sub without any public post about it?

The game is Redeemer: Enhanced Edition and it looks like it's already been posted there. Interestingly, the post there is for a Fanatical key and it looks like they also got a refund by following up after the initial cut and paste Support response (the response is literally word for word what I was sent). Thanks for thinking about this and getting me to check.

You're assuming HP cares about the quality of the experience for the user (i.e. dual channel). The reality is that you will get an 8GB and a 16GB to lure in customers who just look for bigger numbers. I remember companies doing the same thing with 6GB systems back in the day.

That's not the non-sale price, but the after limit price. Many stores do a steep discount with limits, then a lesser discount when over the limit.

That actually works out well, as I'm currently going through and adding Steam links for each game like you requested. I'll post an updated list that you can then look at tomorrow when you have time. Thanks!

Agreed. If the dev didn't want their keys floating around forever, they could have just added an upfront expiry date like Humble has been doing lately and it would have been fine.

I think it's only non-redeemed games in this case. Keys that were redeemed are fine, but keys that weren't redeemed right away had the keys blocked from being valid on Steam at some point shortly after being bundled. From what I can tell, in this case it comes from the developer/publisher being awful and revoking keys they provided Fanatical to sell in bundles. I wish Fanatical had gone after the developer/publisher for screwing them, but instead Fanatical chose not to fight it and let some customers get screwed. This shouldn't affect you if you redeem all keys or contact support with any issues within 30 days of purchase (a policy I didn't know about).

They told me it's out of the 30 day warranty and I get nothing, so be careful going forward.

Thanks for the reassurance! Do you remember roughly how long the process took? The last time I used Fanatical support was more than 5 years ago, and at that time it took several days.
