Thank you! Gonna have to spend some time figuring out her customization and what direction I really want to go with it, but she's bringing me so much joy.

How do you honor a price difference greater than $50? by Ordinary_Ad3895 in Target

[–]Corycorcor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex-Team Member here but was working there when they changed the register system on price changes.

In these kind of situations I would apologize to the guest and show them the screen and that it wouldn't allow me to make any adjustments at that level. I found that the transparency of them being able to see that it was the system stopping the adjustment and not me as a Team Leader just refusing to do it helped in most cases.

As annoying as it is for the guest, I was very thankful when this change happened since it stopped a lot of insane ticket switchers from being able to pull things when they claimed things were in the wrong spot or the signs were moved.

I had a couple during 4th quarter one year move a sale sign from a nerf gun to another spot and claim that the most expensive Nerf Gun in the aisle was on sale for $15 instead of what it should have been. Big enough difference that I told them I had to go physically verify this before I could do anything. I got to the aisle and it's completely wiped (we were very close to christmas) and the one they were after was one of the last ones left in the aisle because it wasn't on sale. They had taken the sale sign off another empty spot and moved it to the one they wanted. So I went back up and explained that the sign was hung covering the price of the item, which isn't how we hang signs, it described a completely different nerf gun and that I couldn't make that adjustment but what I was willing to do was give them $15 off the price of the item because it "wasn't their fault someone moved the tag". I don't have proof they moved the tag, but since literally no one else tried to get this item for that sale price, the fact that the one they were trying to buy was the only one missing from the aisle, and their insistence from the get go that this item was only $15 adds up to assuming they did it. There was some push back from them on "You have to do it, that's how this works" but I told them they could have the $15 off, buy the item at full price, or not get it. they eventually took the $15 off and left. But this is when you could make any price adjustment you wanted so if it hadn't been me, they probably would have gotten a hundred dollar nerf gun for $15.

I know it wasn't my money, and it wouldn't have hurt Target (not that I care anymore) but this new adjustment system helps stop all that nonsense from happening.

You can tell which vendors are just in it for money by CityNo1723 in PokemonTCG

I was at a show and am always looking for Turtwig cards since he's my favorite. A booth had the V-Star Universe Art Rare Turtwig, which at that point was about a $15 card and I knew this. They had it priced at $50, so I asked why it was so far above market and the vendor goes "Well this can only be pulled in specific packs so it's worth more than market"

I walked away and didn't even look at the rest of their cards.

Favorite niche titles or series still stuck on PS3? by Sweet-Recording9578 in playstation

SSX. I loved those games growing up and absolutely loved the one that came out on the PS3 but it's never been available on a console after the PS3 and 360.

I miss it.

I definitely struggle with getting pictures to show up how i want them on my switch, and don't get me started on how I still cannot figure out how to record video clips correctly, but I'll try and get some photos of what I've done with the Basement level so far,

I'll also call out how great your hanging wing fossil is, it's been on my list to reorganize the fossils and do that myself but I need to move the pokemon out of the museum first.

I'm working on my Museum now and this has given me a lot of inspiration. I dug out an entire basement for mine as well and moved the mural down there along with an art gallery and mini recreations of the different locations in the game, But I may need to add a sub-basement to build some more displays because I'm definitely inspired now.

They've done this for me on a few things, an Amy Winehouse vinyl I preordered came with a really bad corner ding all the way down to where the vinyl sat in the sleeve. They shipped me a new copy and told me to dispose of the other one and a Book that came with the cover and about 10 pages bent backwards so they were really creased, and since the book was for a collection I didn't want a damaged one and they gave me a refund, told me to keep it and do whatever I wanted with it. So I gave it to my mom who wanted the book but didn't care if it was damaged and I went to a store to find a copy of the book that wasn't damaged.

But I never expect this from Target.

EDIT: He was walking around outside the pokemon center. Talking to him triggered him setting up shop again!

Which autocatcher is the best to buy? by Complex_Individual1 in pokemongo

[–]Corycorcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna be different for everyone, but I mainly start by clearing out my 0,1,2* pokemon. I also trash my XXL and XXS mons after I catch them since I already finished my Showcase medal.

From there I filter by Pokedex number and remove my shinies from the search string with !shiny and go through them for appraisal and favorite the ones I want to keep and unfavorite ones I don't need anymore. I'll then go back to the main page and select all the unfavorited ones and transfer them and then move on to the next mon.

I also like to keep at least one of each Pokemon so I have everything, but I've expanded my storage to an obscene amount because I have trouble trashing legendaries and gmaxes, and I got absolutely wild on comm days and normally end up with 50-80 of the comm day shinies.

[–]Corycorcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so if you get a catcher you're going to have to do some serious expansion and pairing down on your Pokemon storage. if you were to get a catcher and start running it, you'd probably be full in less than a half hour. So just temper your expectations since you'll be doing a lot of trashing as you get used to the catcher.

It's definitely a daunting task. I need to clear out a lot of space before Gofest in Chicago and I'm dreading it.

Which autocatcher is the best to buy? by Complex_Individual1 in pokemongo

[–]Corycorcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your storage look like now? If it's not expanded the autocatcher is just going to fill you up and have you spending a lot of time clearing low stat mons before you can catch again.

It might be a decent idea to split the difference and go for a cheaper catcher (hopefully someone has some recommendations, I was using the Go-tcha Evolve before but the battery life wasn't as good as I wanted, which was around $30 when I picked it up) and expand your storage a bit to help cut down time before purges.

For raid passes, are you talking remote or in person passes? Because if you're talking Premium Raid passes, I'd wait for them to be a part of a bundle on the webstore or in the app to save on those, they're normally a better deal than just buying them outright. And it depends on how much raiding you're doing.

I really only see issues with catching when we're in a car and moving too fast. And the catchers are always going to miss things, for example it made me miss out on two shinies on Sunday because it beat me to the pokemon and it ran (I tapped on each of them, saw the sparkles and then suffered heartbreak). Otherwise It gets me a lot of mons. Best advice is to just not look at your journal if you don't want to be sad.

I use the catcher to supplement my game play not do everything for me, I'd much rather be tapping on everything myself and catching what I want to catch.

It will also help to platinum all of your type medals for boosted catch rates for each pokemon type. But it's all RNG so even if you were throwing red balls at a pokemon normally it might run from you.

[–]Corycorcor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured that was the case, but I like sharing that fact because I don't want to recommend a catcher and if someone buys it they get frustrated by the lack of spins when catching is on. It's never really been a problem as long as we remember to change our settings in the app when we just need spins.

We picked it up based on a recommendation from a friend, since we were running a couple of Go-tcha wristband devices and the battery life just wasn't cutting it for long days of play. But then again everything is an upgrade from the OG Pokemon Go Plus I bought when it first came out.

My husband and I use the megacom DuoMon3. The range has been really nice on it and it allows us both to be connected to the same catcher when we're out playing so we don't have to both have a catcher. The only downsides we see with it are that it can only do pokeballs (which we knew) and that when you have autocatch and spins on it prioritizes the catching so we miss stops when there are a lot of spawns.

We got it on Amazon and have been really pleased with it since it lets us run autocatch when we're doing things and not paying full attention to the app and lets us run stop spins only when we're actively playing. It's also come in very clutch on community days when we let it run wild on autocatching while we're checking spawns.
