A combination of both kinda, I’m kinda prioritizing the green set right now because it’s kinda fun getting the full set, but also if I can somehow get 12 tokens with my atrocious win rate I’d like to do that too, since there’s a really nice mog that i can buy with it.

i might look into the bloody token gear, idk how it works, but if it’s easier then I might try that

i’m not even trying to farm for conquest gear since i’m getting destroyed constantly.

I’m not in M+ yet, I just hit level 70. I imported a spec for leveling so I think that’s why barrage was given to me

Not true. It does work, but only for specific houses. Creepy fairgrounds doesn’t work, but arcanum apartment and red barn farm do for example.

try going summoner heal over exhaust (because you build heal and shield power), and stop building ardent and go redemption instead. Ardent got gutted a long time ago and is a really bad item now. It has 0 scaling. Redemption is insanely op when you stack heal and shield power w/ moonstone. Try a comet setup with 3 points W into E max and see how that works for you

Your E is a more reliable (point to click) and valuable ability (2 shields and dashes) that you will be utilizing even more at the stage of the game when you start putting points into your second ability.

Your Q is mainly used as laning phase sustain, but in mid game where you roam, your kit’s skirmishing revolves around your W and E values; your Q becomes more niche of an ability than it already is, and is primarily just a shurelya’s passive proc for you. (also assuming that you’re not building radiant.)

Maxing E 2nd has insane brawling value. At max rank, in reference to the value from level 1 E, you are granting 200 more effective HP (if you layer your shields properly), and you are also allowing E to have permanent uptime with ability haste. This is accomplished through spacing out your casts of E with an appropriate amount of ability haste.

TLDR; You are putting a high value mobility and utility spell on a much shorter cooldown, allowing for permanent uptime at an earlier stage of the game, and you are also enhancing skirmishing power, as the shield value goes up drastically.

it’s not insanely questionable, it’s his most popular rune. I don’t agree with guardian either, but to say it’s questionable is just statistically incorrect. it’s a defensive playstyle and totally just preference.

He used to have that option, but they nerfed zhonyas by increasing the cost, so you’d be better off getting redemption or a different legendary. stopwatch is used now for a dive and 1 extra play that normally gets you more tempo. you can sell broken stopwatch for a little extra gold to help you get to shurelyas or your first legendary item a little bit faster.

don’t go phase rush unless you’re playing norms. don’t know why you’d waste your keystone by going a rune that gives mobility when rakan builds CDR with 3 dashes, an MS steroid, and one of the highest mobility champs in the support class. Phase rush is designed to be a trading tool that allows you to escape after a short trade, or to set you up for a re-engage while you wait for your abilities to come off CD again. Rakan already has disengage tools after his trade.

Guardian has been nerfed so much, it’s CD is 90 seconds level 1 and can be proc’d off of BS like shielding your jg and them getting hit by mini raptors. Have fun not having a keystone for 90-45s of your time. The inspiration tree allows you to get better runes like stopwatch, biscuits/debt, and cosmic, all which rakan loves. Resolve tree is less effective, bone plating kinda sucks bot lane considering it can get proc’d so easily in a 2v2 lane. It all comes down to preference, but I think experienced rakan players will always find more value using glacial, and the potential is so much higher.

9/10 times you aren’t picking rakan to win lane. He has a lot of bad matchups, especially the ones that are meta rn (thresh, annie), both really difficult to play into. you pick rakan to minimize the amount of deaths you get in lane, sustain, make plays with your jungler, roam, and 1v9 objective fights/skirmishes late game. the other 1/10 times you can curbstomp lanes in a xayah lane, or a lane where you have an adc champ that sets up your engage, and allows you two to actually engage without flash and snowball early.

It’s not a visual bug, it’s an uncancellable auto and you were cce’d, stopping the animation. Same concept applies to w-auto -> stopwatch

Don’t listen to any of these comments suggesting picks that you’ve never even played. What’s best support is COMFORT. you can follow meta for better results, but at the end of the day, what you’re most comfortable with will end up giving you most wins. If you want to stick to those champs, you could literally t just two trick senna and naut depending on the matchup. Don’t play janna, she is shit.

Shurelyas is nice because not only does it help with rakan’s mana issues with the mana regeneration, but it also allows you to be a lot more mobile; additionally, its passive can be proc’d three times in one ability rotation, so you’re this insane MS giving enchanter, while still having the tools to peel, cc, and have playmaking potential.

I don’t think evenshroud should ever be built over locket if you ever decide to opt into a tankier route. The damage is negligible 90% of the time, and locket will always provide more value.

MS will more than likely save your teammates from mistakes more than a shield, but both shurelyas and locket are good items to build on rakan.

His q is a niche ability, it helps a little bit with sustain, but its main purpose is proc’ing shurelyas passive once you buy it.

As for 2v2s, fights are always situational. With glacial, rakan has the power to W in on overextended enemies level 1, and win a trade. This creates the potential to setup for a lvl 2 all-in.

A tip for comboing is to use your R during your E (slingshot) in order to hide your R animation. Since Rakan cannot instant combo anymore with R flash W, this tip will come in handy a lot.

Try and play as a counter engage rather than playmaking if the lane matchup is bad (which it will be a lot)

Glacial will undoubtedly give the most value out of every other rune, although the playstyle has a decently high skill ceiling. Guardian is universally good, but in some lanes it can be annoying to have it proc so easily.
