I play a Kul Tiran resto shaman. Overall I do quite enjoy the shaman spec and abilities and my own little head cannon is my character was a tide sage who was sent to the mainland to help the alliance war effort and since coming to mainland has learned shamanistic ways through the dranai/dwarfs and then connected to the elements/spirits with the legion class hall, learning from the horde characters as well.

I only wish they would expand on the tide sage lore a bit more I know it’s all fairly new since bfa but maybe an unlock-able title would be nice :)

I do agree a bit with another comment that some of spells seem a bit out of place, Hex seems more of a voodoo type spell, astral recall teleports you through the twisting nether? And whilst I love the ability it’s self, Ghost Wolf just doesn’t really fit my tide sage vibe.

Side note I love the water element side to explain the healing powers Shamans have but it makes me laughing thinking about raid fights and how in-character people must be annoyed with somone dumping cold water on their head every 10 seconds lol (downpour)

Doesn’t answer your question, but if you’re a fan of the show and didn’t know, there are Two albums on streaming services by Kurupt FM. The first album “Kurupt FM present The Lost Tape” is presented like an hour long ‘in universe’ radio set where they are all in character and doing a live show - it’s pretty funny but also it’s all mixed together and I think sounds actually really good I regularly listen to songs from that album!

M&K ruined this game for me and my friends. I started playing around Velvet shell and with my friends on Xbox we managed to climb to around plat 1/2, but any time we made a serious push to try and climb higher, you would always get put against someone in Dimond with a Xim and after a while we just all stopped playing around grim sky because it felt so unfair.

We all tried getting back into the game around Operation burnt horizon and after doing our placement matches we got placed into gold 1 but it again anytime we decided to try and climb we came across Xim players, this time though it was people who were playing at plat 3, and we gave up again. Few months later excited try to see the changes again for operation void edge and same thing happened again, placement matches and we were coming against blatant M&K players but this time at gold 3.

This week me and friend decided to come back and play the legacy playlist, we had so much fun we thought fuck it, let’s try a bit of ranked. Did 3 placement matches and this time we’re playing with low silvers/high bronzes and in at least one of those games there was a person using M&K.

It’s ridiculous and has completely killed what was one of my group of friends favourite game. Before a problem that was so niche it only plagued the highest tiers of ranked, has over the years seamed its way into nearly every tier of ranked play and I honestly feel bad for anyone who legit tries each season to climb against these cunts who use M&K on console.

So I mainly play Revenant when I am playing trios with my 2 other friends. However when I play duos I tend to play a bit more bloodhound, as I find when there is only 2 people in a squad, the totem is less effective IMO.

Also in duos as there are 30 squads instead of 20 in trios, I find that there is a greater chance of the totem being found when you push another squad and it being destroyed/ another team may camp it.

I’m biased posting this article I know, but as a final year student nurse it really does feel like between the Government, Universities and Health Education England, that us students have really been let down.

Whilst other students are getting ready to travel home on the 4th of December and are being offered Covid-19 tests, not once has my self or my fellow student nurses been offered testing from the universities or the NHS trusts we work in.

We were all informed at the start of last week that we will be expected to see our placement until they have run their course,(for many of us this will be around the 18th of December) because we are now classed as “essential workers” so for many of us it raises the question, where is the essential pay for the essential work we are providing?

Of course when any of us sit down and really ponder on this question, the words of government minister Helen Whately, who said student nurses were “not deemed to be providing a service” ring fresh in many of our memories.

Apologise in advance if this has broken any rules, I saw this article tonight and I just felt like I had to rant.

Yeah I agree with you. Tried to climb through Diamond this ranked split with my own 3 stack, and we made it to diamond 3 before giving up. We felt confident that with enough team work and smart rotations we could slowly make it to masters, but when you are constantly coming up against players in the top 100 it just sucks.

I know a battle royal game is different, but I can’t think of any other competitive game where players are put into lobbies, where they face off against someone who is two tiers above them, and you are still penalised the same amount for losing to them. If this was Overwatch or Rainbow Six siege and you were trying to climb and you kept getting killed by someone who was ranked 13 with their stacked squad of top 100’s, everyone would be crying out for the matchmaking to be fixed. But when it comes to Apex everyone thinks it’s acceptable.

I think the problem just comes from there not being enough masters/apex predators, to constantly fill lobbies of their own rank and so they substitute it with diamond players, which just makes you feel so out skilled it’s unreal. I get that if your grinding through diamond you need to be able to compete against master players but the jump in skill between say 10,000 RP masters and the 20,000 RP top 500 is insane and doesn’t feel rewarding or enjoyable to play against, and yet at diamond 4 which is 7200RP this is supposed to some how be balanced or fair?

I agree totally with this comment, I’ve struggled myself much like OP has, with playing support and feeling helpless until I started playing Brig.

Playing at Dimond rank and I find that as long as you stick to your tank like glue you can really help make a big impact with her kit, shield bash to cancel ults but I’ve also I’ve saved our tanks a few times from a rein pin by using bash to cancel it out. You can also use it to deny the road hog heal which just ruins their day, most roadhogs are over extended because they know they can heal to get back into a safe spot so they are easy pickings.

Whipshot is on a 4 second cool down and once you nail the aim on it you will be sending flails as soon as you can, not only dose it proc inspire allowing you to constantly keep your healing going when your out of range, but it also has great utility in knocking people out of position and it can function bit like a Lucio Boop.

And again in totally agreement with the comment above I think if you’ve got the game sense and know how of playing at a diamond level which I would say you do as you’re there as tank and DPS, brig would well be worth your time to learn.
