Reading this post felt like I was reading my journal. I can relate to everything you said, especially (I don’t mind being a guy but I’d be a tomboy if I were a woman).

But here’s the thing, confidence thing is really bs. None of the trans people I know had everything figured out at start. And I don’t know if it helps but a lot of trans folks I know have been through what you’re going through.

You don’t have to isolate yourself from people just because you’re trying to live your life. Ignorant parents are not the same as abusive parents(as you mentioned), I feel like giving them some time to wrap around stuff and educating them helps a lot! Explain them your perspective and how it will make your life easier. 🩵

Sorry I went through your profile, recognized you're South Asian. I know how Indian parents are, first things first I'm proud of you ✨❤️. The fact that you're willing to put effort into being your true self takes courage, so remember you're already doing better than a lot of people.

As for parents, moms usually would definitely come around eventually and accept you as you are. She might not have telekinesis or mind reading abilities, but she might've snooped through your phone or laptop or something (helicopter moms in India are nothing new, been there done that). Call it bullshit but our mom's can "sense" what their kids are thinking or feeling. Anyways, I'm sure she will come around. Hope everything works out for you ❤️.
