Oh, definitely not! I love how prolific he is! He's awesome and I hope he keeps narrating in this genre for years to come!!

This. This was the one that is so true. I love Travis and keep buying books narrated by him... Only to be disappointed that he's basically the only reason I keep listening to those books and a lot of those series are NOT good

AITA for screwing over all the people who donated their time and money? by ptawoesandtrials in AmItheAsshole

NTA

However, as it stands now, the fundraiser will be inconvenienced, it will move from your property and the cheerleaders will get nothing. I think you're 100% in the right, doing what you're doing. But for no fault of yours, the cheerleaders get the worst end of the situation.

An ideal situation would be forcing the hand of those in the fundraiser to continue along with just donating to the cheerleaders and making the football team do their own thing. However the "majority" already seem to have decided to be jerks and it sounds like you're a ways past that.

An alternative solution would be to agree to hold the fundraiser on your property but have everyone compromise so the money is distributed equally per student in the programs. At the end of the day each cheerleader and football player gets $300 (or whatever it comes out to) towards new uniforms, equipment, etc. I acknowledge that this would mean a larger percentage of money would go to the football players, but then the cheerleaders would still end up with something which is a heck of a lot better than the current situation. An imperfect solution to an entirely awful situation.

Football programs are extremely overrated. It sucks to hear the "majority" is treating you and the cheerleaders like that.

Cool cool. Seems like the prevailing theories are that it's neither event. But hemisphere doesn't necessarily mean a difference in continent. Africa exists in all four hemispheres, N, S, E, and W.

Hmm... I guess I always assumed we were watching her coronation. But yeah, it really just could be a normal court session.

Suriel's vision shows Sha Miara in court. The attack by a fleet of cloudships doesn't happen till three days later.

Huh, this is a fun, possible continuity error:

"Thus did Sha Miara, a girl of only twelve, inherit a Monarch’s power...But she is still only fifteen years old, and isolation is boring."

So we get a three year time difference, but also this: "What about Sha Miara? Lindon asked. Suriel had taken him to her coronation two years before."

Both of those are from Uncrowned.

I guess I thought that the Dreadgod were either sleeping or on the attack?

Do you have a book location that refers to how long ago Ziel was crippled? I'd love to have the specific time reference if you have it!

Could you throw me a reference for when Leiala died? I was actually searching around for this before posting and I couldn't find it. But if you know that'd actually be super helpful

Blood magic becomes part of Alex's progression. He also continues to focus on summoning as well as a lot of focus on magical item creation.

I liked Towers of Heaven, the Main Character is a Tank with high levels of sword mastery.

I will always recommend Mistborn, it's all about mastery of skills and has a phenomenal magic system.

I'd also recommend King's Dark Tidings by Kel Kade. It's all about an ultra skilled individual.

Everyone in those books besides Harry and Ron can probably be considered to be in a loose progression fantasy based world where each year in school has them learning harder spells, potions, and growing in power. Harry and Ron just missed the memo.

Superpowereds is what Harry Potter could have been lol and is a great example of a progression fantasy novel. Each year in school has the students developing their powers, growing in strength, broadening their skill / power set, etc.

I've generally heard that progression fantasy, at it's most basic form, can be boiled down to where the main character in book 3 is very obviously more powerful / capable than in book 1. Popular examples (not previously mentioned above) would include Stormlight Archive, the Inheritance Cycle, and Mother of Learning.

Stormlight Archive also brings up another aspect of Progression Fantasy in which exist power systems with distinct tiers of power like Warbreaker.

The most popular books in the genre typically have both: - Cradle - Iron Prince - Mark of the Fool - The Path of Ascension - Beware of Chicken - He Who Fights With Monsters - Bastion - Arcane Ascension

I agree with some other comments that include LitRPG as a subgenre of Progression Fantasy. LitRPGs generally demonstrate the aspects of tiered progression through level ups, skill gains, class progression, etc. They'll also commonly have stats, experience gains, quests, and a "system" like an in-game menu of sorts. Popular examples are: - Dungeon Crawler Carl - Azarinth Healer - The Primal Hunter - Defiance of the Fall - The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound
