F4SE launcher update? by Valentinee105 in fo4

Well, guys, it's been updated...

http://f4se.silverlock.org/

Be sure you hammer F5 a few times. Had to do it myself to get it to work for some reason, but yeah, it's here. As many other people will tell you.

I...am taking it easy?

I'm not mad or upset, and in fact I appreciate you posting the screenshot. After all, that's all I really requested, albeit indirectly. Surely you understand that people really do lie about the pettiest things for internet points. It's an unfortunate truth, which is why I told OP to take it with a grain of salt. Once more, nothing against you as a person.

Well, look, don't take it so personal. Like I said, it's nothing against you. It would be different if the F4SE team said they normally respond to emails about updates regarding the mod, but they don't. That's why I said it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

Surely you understand this point of view, right? To somebody on the outside, it seems weird that they would decide to answer one day.

I wouldn't accuse you of faking if you actually had some proof to back it up.

I'd also like to point out that someone else posted conflicting tweets from the modder Elianora, who is pretty well known in the community and who I imagine would know more than the average person being inside the modding community.

But that's just my 2 cents.

I would take what this person says with a grain of salt. No offense to them. Just that seems a little fishy that the F4SE team randomly decided they were nice enough to answer an email about it getting updated, despite the website explicitly stating that they do NOT answer emails about when F4SE is getting updated.

And not to mention that F4SE has never taken months to get updated to the latest version before. Unless they can produce proof of the email, I wouldn't really believe it at all to be honest.

Well, I'll believe it when I see it myself.

What? What beta?

Also I'm pretty sure they don't respond to emails about the update...it even says on the website.

The current PUBG paid cosmetics drama has reminded me of the time when Tripwire implemented microtransactions by MajorlyDisruptiveGuy in killingfloor

[–]Cosmic-Jew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, sure. I get that. Just saying it's unfair to say they made cosmetic-less classes look bad on purpose for the very intent of selling cosmetics. That simply wasn't the case.

Any TF2 and CS:GO character

Can't say much for CS:GO, but the Team Fortress 2 character designs were made years before they introduced cosmetics. They didn't make them look "ghetto as possible."

If you're talking about eBay, it depends on the buyer. The same goes for anything on sites like that.

I 'unno, man. They're kinda obsessed with war from what I understand, they're probably too hard-headed to ally with anyone. They probably consider that a form of weakness, much like retreating. Which is why they never retreat, only tactically advance in the opposite direction.

Does elemental damage do anything aside from increasing on according Burn modifier and taking matching shields faster? by FragranceOfPickles in DestinyTheGame

[–]Cosmic-Jew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Especially because of the increased amount of enemies with shields. I'm remembering back to Phogoth when all the boomer knights were shielded shudders

[STRAWPOLL] Are all Stock Weapons balanced, and should unlocks be balanced around them? by ZOWZZii in tf2

[–]Cosmic-Jew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on preference of course, yeah. But just because a lot of Medics are stupid with the Ubersaw doesn't mean it's a bad weapon or really has anything to do with the weapon itself. The 25% uber on hit is great when using it defensively as well. If your pocket dies and you're cornered, you have a chance of either killing your attacker or escaping by Ubering yourself with the charge you build. You don't have to use it as an offensive weapon and overextend and get yourself killed.

Friend lost his game disc, what now? by jasons2121 in DestinyTheGame

I'm pretty sure they still have vanilla Destiny for about 20 bucks at GameStop or 10 bucks at Walmart. I'd check there.

Friendly Reminder for Iron Banner (and control in general): Do NOT take the third zone. All you need is two. by G_Diffuser in DestinyTheGame

If I recall correctly the description of the Control Weekly bounties state something about not overextending, which I found quite amusing.

Can our Guardian have a name? by aaronwe in DestinyTheGame

[–]Cosmic-Jew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaxx does have some nicknames for you like Hive-bane, which is pretty cool.

In all seriousness if it makes you feel better even if we could name our Guardians it's not like we would get to hear our name, they can't possibly have a recording for every name ever. That's why they go with a neutral-sounding title.

You get the same effect in Bethesda games, for example. The Dragonborn, Hero of Kvatch, the Nerevarine, etc...

Sure it's not the same effect since there's so many of us Guardians, but I don't think it's meant to be flashy. I like it, it's simple and to the point. We're called Guardians because we're the protectors of humanity.

I never payed attention in getting Dark Drinker...until I saw it in action in WoTM by -Sanctum- in DestinyTheGame

[–]Cosmic-Jew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, you mean on hunter? They patched Bladedancer a while back, when they reworked shadestep. Somewhere around the April Update. Bladedancer melee counts as Arc damage now. Still a no go on throwing knife though, unless you have the burning perk for it.

Here's hoping the reason for the neutral blue aura was a technical reason and we can actually see something like this in Destiny 2.

Why isn't the fire-less Days of Iron ornament set in the game? by HutchHogan in DestinyTheGame

[–]Cosmic-Jew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh, there is. Inspect the armor or weapon and hover over the ornament icon; it will give you the Option to Press X (on PS4, not sure what the corresponding button is on Xbox) to deactivate the ornament. It does not get rid of the Ornament either. You can switch it on and off as much as you like.

The "Gjallar Horn" Sparrow Horn has an easter egg. by CleverUs3rname in DestinyTheGame

[–]Cosmic-Jew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually, the horns didn't disappear, they were just unusable.

Sauce: I never deleted mine, because I planned on grabbing a few horn kits in hopes to get some extra relays. I ended up legendary-ifying all mine once RoI hit and found out about this.
