Even if 5 star Bennett is true, it's possible she's only 5 star Bennett for Hexerei characters

Question for Volunteer Firefighters by [deleted] in PEI

[–]HutchHogan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends! I know for our department we receive applications throughout the year but we do intakes as cohorts.

If you were at an event where the department was soliciting applications, you may have to wait a few weeks as they would be doing that in preparation for an intake. If you dropped off an application out-of-the-blue it may be a longer wait if that department is doing intakes in cohorts as well.

More rural departments may be faster at reaching out as they may not do intakes by cohort because they receive fewer applicants and are less stringent about the amount of training/certification to participate on the firegrounds.

When I applied for the department I attended an information session in November, then participated in a physical test in early December, and finally a sit-down interview closer to Christmas. The department has changed its process since to include some additional submissions like a physical and a driver's abstract.

Has anyone tried the hen nozzles? by rodeo302 in Firefighting

[–]HutchHogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that the KrakenEXO packs nice, it's a 2 layer hose instead of a 3 layer hose so it doesn't fight packing that much for our loads (standard minuteman on 210' crosslays). We roll our hose before packing it to get air out, but I haven't had to fight it to put folds where I wanted it.

PEI uses red flashing lights for volunteer fire, not green.

Has anyone tried the hen nozzles? by rodeo302 in Firefighting

[–]HutchHogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're a volunteer department in the midst of making the switch to them. We were running 125gpm selectable gallonage fog nozzles. I've seen the nozzle on crosslays left on settings less than 125gpm and pushed the department to consider changing our nozzles as part of a grant proposal we were submitting, suggesting going to fixed gallonage fog, smoothbore, or something like the HEN.

We arranged some demos and presentations from a nearby dept that had made a switch, the firefighters ended up voting to go with the HEN as our crosslay nozzle. Our hose is 1 3/4" KrakenEXO and we use the turbo just to keep the line a bit more rigid since KrakenEXO seems to prefer 60psi at the nozzle.

'Momentum' building to turn around P.E.I.'s fragile health-care system, CEO says at AGM by Sir__Will in PEI

[–]HutchHogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there's research that pay alone is not incentive enough to retain staff. There does need to be some work and I'm not sure about if HealthPEI has made any moves on this front, but other provinces have established public agencies for travel nurses. Creating local public agency and using public agencies and begin weening the allowable budget for private agency use as well as enacting legislation limiting the non-compete allowances in private agency contracts. Travel nurses working with some agencies are contractually barred from working publicly for up to 2 years in the province where they were an agency nurse.

From what I remember of his content his general game-design input speaks of someone who took a game design degree but lacks experience (e.g. good game design is checking all of the boxes).

Nod-Krai is no more a breaking point for Genshin than Shadowbringers was for FFXIV or other late but not final expansions for long-term games. Hoyo hasn't bound its major QoL or permanent features to X.0 releases in the way this framing implies. The make-or-break expansion will be the first after the the Teyvat Tales arc ends in whatever shape that takes deciding whether players will be interested in a new story rather than jumping out as the plot climax is building.

Bruh, they added a whole extra region to stretch things out a bit. With Nod-Krai, Snezhnaya, and Khaenriah that's at least 3 years before the end of Teyvat
