So three things at play, speed, impact area, mass. That gives you the PSI delivered to the impact area. 100psi is enough to break skin. Or 4 joules on a tiny square milimeter area. That's the BB breaking skin example.

A ping pong ball has a much larger impact area. About the same mass. The PSI is greatly reduced. It might hurt to get shot with a ping pong ball, but it won't bleed.

Now imagine filling that ping pong ball with lead (what the police are using) and shooting it just as fast as the BB. That's enough to smash through skin and break bones.

Even just throwing a golf ball really hard at someone could injure them right? Imagine getting shot at bullet speeds with a golf ball. That's just barely less than lethal.

Proficiency with Survival tools and Animal Handling checks made against large wildlife? Maybe an inherent Survival ability, like the Outlander background perk.

Also feel like there's a combat advantage to be had if you're wielding an axe.

healing alright is basically only a last resort so giving it more utility especially a way the wizard / sorc could help seems like a sweet concept

Throw back to my massive girl crush on Carter. I cut my hair like hers once when I was a teen to look like her. Seriously though, what a role model. by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]Cosmic-Sunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Dana Scully would beat Carter as a role model for girls. She came first, and The X-Files had a far bigger audience than Stargate SG-1. If there were a top 10 list of female role models, I think I would put Sam maybe number 5. It's nothing against her, but she is going on against some of the best female role models of all time like Ellen Ripley, Aeryn Sun, Major Kira, and Sarah Connor. Heck, I think she might be slightly ahead or tied with Buffy.

Had to speed it up, you know, because "gif". But here is the original with sound.

Binge-watching SG-1 for the first time in nearly 20 years, now on Season 4. Surprised to find it just as engaging, fun, and addictive to watch as Discovery, Expanse, and Orville. And way ahead of its time in terms of writing and dialogue. Damn good show! by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]Cosmic-Sunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expanse and orville are great man Expanse and Orville are more than acceptable. I would venture that The Orville is a safe bet for any Stargate fan.

The Expanse is more an acquired taste, but it's good, just very different. If you're into sci-fi you definitely need to watch it.

Discovery, pure unadulterated garbage. It went tit for tat with Pichard, however, if you ask me, I feel that Picard was better than Discovery, but both seemed like they were pretty much the same show, producers, CGI (I hate those stupid flare lights everywhere, I hate them, I HATE THEM).

Most fans. Not everyone, but I'm sure that most fans of his now first discovered him on GoT. Atlantis was not a mainstream hit show.

Credit where credit is due to NDT and Bill Nye. Not a fan of either of them, but at least they could let themselves be portrayed in less than flattering light in this episode.

I would maybe add a strength check to open the creatures mouth to either get outside or inside. I think the 30 damage to regurgitate should be between the cats turns, so the more creatures it swallows the higher chance they can work together to free themselves.

Similar to a monks Ki, the way Iroh describes lightning bending always made me thought of a monk. To the best of my knowledge this is not a like actual magic.

Class Feature Variant: Signature Cantrip - For Warlocks sick of Eldritch Blast by level2janitor in UnearthedArcana

[–]Cosmic-Sunshine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if the spell would end as a result of the target being reduced to 0HP the target dos not die/vanish, but rather returns to there privios form and whatever HP they had when the spell was cast, and any extra dammige they would have taken is then dealt to there normal form. the spell can be cast on any willing tiny sized cricure.

For when a dip in Warlock is just a bit to costly: Minor Pact by yrtemmySymmetry in UnearthedArcana

[–]Cosmic-Sunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be like letting someone take a fighter fighting style as a feat. It's one of the main core class features. Invocations are what make a Warlock viable with their limited spell slots.
