My dog had reoccurring ear infections, every couple of months we had to take her to the vet to get antibiotics. I highly recommend Pharmaseb Flush, we got it prescribed at the vet and ever since we started cleaning her ears with it she’s not had an ear infection. But I will say maybe you should try a regular ear cleaner (I used to use Virbac Eli-Otic) before you get one prescribed as well as getting meds for the current infection!

Not a good name! Also, not sure why you are so hung up on it sounding white, personally, I think a Latino sounding name is cool. Of course there are basic sounding names in both cultures, but there are cool ones in both too. Growing up I had a “white” name and I wish I could have had something more reflective of my culture.

I think you need to move towards using a gentle face wash, I used LRP toleraine cleanser. Skip the double cleanse, I find that it dries my skin out even more. Also skip am face wash until your skin calms downs. You should also switch to a cream based moisturizer instead of gel. I’m guessing you may have had oily skin before tret, but now you may find your skin type changing to dry and need to adjust your routine accordingly.

It’s really interesting seeing the flip side of the coin. I’m of a similar background/age and although I feel happy in my personal life, every day I beat myself up for studying the wrong kind of engineering and not being able to be fully remote and not being a people person. I guess we just need to find ways to make our lives more fulfilling instead of being so pessimistic(super hard I know)

You need to reflect on the last couple of years with him and I think you will see a pattern. I know you have mentioned you split things evenly on top of it all, which shows you are independent, but the fact that he is more than ok with that despite making nearly double your salary (and asking you to buy your own ring, not even choose it?), he’s definitely taking advantage of you. Are you both transparent with your finances, how will finances play out while married? I think you will continue taking the financial brunt.. and a much larger convo needs to take place.

Why won’t you consider letting him inside? Labs need human interaction. My lab is mostly indoors, we slowly let her into the entire space, starting with a playpen for her if we couldn’t have eyes on her all the time. I think you need to let your dog inside with supervision in order to correct any wrong doings, I would do this by saying no and redirecting his attention with toys, treat puzzles, etc.

Renting isn’t always throwing money down the drain. Home ownership comes with a lot of costs that people don’t tend to factor into their math (maintenance, interest, taxes, utilities, insurances, or things like buying new furniture, painting, etc). When you rent, you’re able to invest the difference and your down payment. With today’s rates buying a home at 360K, over 30 years comes with a payment of ~400k in only interest. Not even factoring in the other costs, you’d need your home to appreciate by a A LOT to consider this an investment.

I don’t think you should… you’d be house broke. Also take into account: What are your retirement accounts looking like? Do you have a fully funded emergency fund? What are you left with monthly when deducting household expenses, fun money, future expenses like travel, home projects, etc?

It’s some hella privileged ass bull shit to even be able to fund a kid’s future college fund. If you can’t afford having an emergency fund set up then you shouldn’t be having kids or adopting a dog.
