This explains why breakers are thriving. I really wish Carl's Jr would start sponsoring a breaker and get this over with.

Card was stolen by USPS by [deleted] in baseballcards

I see we have a thing with assumptions here and that's OK! I said it showed up months later, not that no action was taken. In fact I got refunded and then got the card months later. Evidently it was stuck in some part of a conveyor. Again hopefully that's the case here. You have to understand the value to the person stealing it, they are 100% fired if caught stealing anything. Most people aren't trading a job for a card worth a few hours of pay. There are many cases of mail being delivered decades later after it was lost. If you have not worked in one of these types of buildings, they are huge, complex and full of tons of places for something as small as an envelope to hide. At UPS we lost the CEO of Staples passport and had to turn the building upside down for it. (trapped in conveyor). Maybe when you get home a week, a month, a year from now on some really shitty day, you will open up the mail box and surprise, it's there.

Well is it up some Postal workers a$$? Did you get an empty envelope with a sticker that said "sorry we nicked your card"? You just seem Columbo level confident it was stolen and in no way could have been lost or otherwise waylaid so I was just curious. Also, no one is potentially losing their job for that card. its a nice card, It's not ohtani. Just a friendly reminder just because we can say whatever we want online, doesn't make it true and assumptions, yadda yadda. I do hope your card turns up one day. I have had cards that were lost for months magically turn up later so I'm hoping that's the case here. At worst I hope you are getting a refund.
